53 Man Roster thread

If the Packers are keeping Telfort and Glover, I am assuming Dillard is actually hurt, as in IR hurt. Could be what Rob meant by us looking for another swing OT once the dust settles.

I honestly don't think hes going on IR. Keeping him on the week one roster would fully guarantee his contract. Last I checked IR players count towards your roster.

Fully guaranteed contract and not back until week 5 at the earliest is a bad combo especially for a low level backup.

Who is going to fill the void now that we can't complain about Newman or Carlson?  Backup QB's are gone, too.

Anyone have a player to nominate?

I'll nominate Dillon after he fails to get a first down on third and half a yard.

Rhyan seems a likely candidate, too.

I refuse to take any joy out of this.

Predicting the Bears pick him up after he clears waivers. Nobody is picking up that 2.whatever million-dollar salary.

Does that mean he gets in entire salary guaranteed?

I don't think you can release an injured player without some sort of settlement.

If he's waived with an injury settlement, doesn't it depend on the extent of the injury?

I believe an injury settlement is for less than the whole salary. Otherwise, what is the benefit to the team to release the person to catch on someplace else when they heal up.

Just catching up.  Cwood was right about Pratt.  Some reporting of bringing Cliffy back instead of Pratt on the PS.  Dunno I'd take Pratt all day long.  Hope we get him back.  Newman finally gone.  Been a long time comin'.  Heath deserves to be on the 53.  Welch seems to be a favorite around here.  Don't think he'll get claimed either.  Should be back on the PS.  Waiting to hear on Joseph have a hard time believing he's safe.  Hour left we'll find out soon enough.
