Maybe, but of the WR's after the top four, he's the only one I'd think of as a risk to be claimed.  That is strictly based on how he stepped up last year when he was needed.  If he only had the tape from these past two weeks, there would be no risk at all.

Oladapo had a great open field tackle.

Didn't bullard play as well.

It was such a boring, low energy game that I missed Bullard and Oladapo.

I took a little time to actually watch different aspects of the game, instead of just following the ball.  Wooden and Brooks looked good to me.  Welch looked good to me.  E Williams and C Jones looked good.  C Jones moved his feet a lot quicker than I thought he could.  If that guy could bend at all at the waist, he'd be a real player.  Still plays a little too tall for my liking, but at least it looked like the feet were coming along.

On the bright side, I think GB can safely send any WR after Melton to the PS.

Steve Smith Sr. said the Packers have 8 WRs who can play on Sundays. Assume Toure is 8. Not sure if that is true, but anybody judging out WRs with those to jokers throwing the ball last night should stay away from talent evaluations.

Toure cant play on sundays lol.

Youre going to keep 6 and feel good about the bottom of the roster. Someones not making it. Idk if im heartbroken if i lose anyone not in the top 4.

Im thinking we get Melton and Dubose. But if heath bumps one its cool.

I agree with Toure, again I was quoting Steve Smith Jr. He did not name names, but that is who popped in my mind as #8.

I don't feel good about the bottom of roster because it's fairly clear after last night we don't have 53 that belong. Positions of concern: K, depth on 0-line, back-up quarterback are the most pressing. Somebody mentioned cutting both Clifford and Pratt, I think as a joke. I'd be OK with it and assume we'd get them both back on the practice squad. I'm going to give you Dillard but wouldn't want him in a game. Monk is not ready to play in a real game, but worthy of keeping allowing to develop. Do we roll with 8, O linemen? Nobody else made a case they belong, quite the contrary.

I think we have NFL level talent everywhere else with guys who will make the roster.

Probably was just throwing out a large number for effect rather than being precise but whatever steve gonna steve. Smart dude.

Yeah i dont think the staff/Gute see backup QB as you do. We're ride or die with Love. If we lose him, tank the season. How many playoff games has Tannehill even gotten to?

At this point Im assuming we comb the waiver cuts for OL for the 9th guy, or maybe we try to send a body for a body. Worst case scenario were hiding a couple guys on the OL, weve done it before we can do it again. But again, yeah if we lose 3 of our starters for some duration well be in a tough spot. Find me a team who isnt.

Idk if you watched the other side in this game.. when they got down to their 3rd string we were abusing them too.

Also i was clearly talking about the WR depth chart with the last post. I understand you hate OL.

I didn't see the game (thank goodness!) but it appears our backup QBs leave a lot to be desired?

I would say my feelings on Clifford and Pratt are very mixed right now.

On the one hand, I never like judging a guy, particularly a backup QB just on one bad game.  And the when the team executes poorly all around, typically the QB can't just suddenly make up for that.

On the other hand, I am less confident about Clifford being a capable backup this year than I was last year.  We'll see what he does this next week and go from there I guess, but yeah, gonna guess that we have to redo the backup QB position next year.

I did notice the Falcons were interested in trading Taylor Heinecke, something I'd look into considering he grew up a Packer fan and probably would love coming to play for us.

Granted Atlanta would probably want a 3rd round pick minimum for him which may be a little too much, but still if I was Gute I would call and look into it.

Can you come up with 53 guys who deserve to be on an NFL team after last night?

If you assume that the 31 guys who sat are pretty much all on the 53, then just taking the rookies, select 2nd year players, a backup QB (or two), and three specialists gets you most of the way there.
