What is the toughest playoff path a team has ever taken to a Super Bowl Championship?

Thoughts?

Easily the giants for me. Both times during Eli’s 2 Super Bowl runs.

as a homer I’ll pick the 21 rams because they were doubted. Getting thru the Bucs was nasty work but thankfully if there’s one team we match up well it’s the Bucs. Just own them specially in the Brady era… Then getting thru SF who had beaten us like a drum. Just my Homer pick, specially since no one wanted

Part of playing Brady.. Smoked they as.

lol, I don't think this would be in the top 30 hardest playoff paths to a title.

I said Homer. And after they went winless that month no one counted them. A lot of people even picked the cards to win at home…

No way. Playoff Lamar and 85% of the bills defense was injured. That’s just not true one bit. One of the weakest SBs runs since the loaded pats teams imo. Not to mention that they faced the Niners who are notorious for choking.. The Giants playoff run was unreal. Beating the packers at Lambo!??! Hakeem the dream coming thru. Man I remember watching that run on my small 15 inch TV back in the day lol.

In my lifetime, it's easily the 2007 Giants.

Obviously the playoff run is legendary, but the Giants also had to overcome their own QB during the regular season.

In 5 of their 10 wins Eli had a passer rating of 65 or lower.

So not the Chiefs because they faced notorious chokers the 49ers - but you name the Rams' run because they faced the 49ers lol.

Glad to see 2012 Ravens up here and that I wasn't homering it up in my head.

Andrew Luck Colts at home was whatever, but then 1 seed Peyton Broncos at Mile High and 2 seed Brady Patriots at Foxboro was a wild stretch. That 9ers team in the SB was insanely talented too.

Last year's 9ers and especially last year's Ravens were pretty nutty football teams. The 9ers weren't quite the regular season 9ers by the time the Chiefs got them. Hufunga and Greenlaw were out for the season. Kittle couldn't lift his arm over his head in the Super Bowl. Deebo was in and out due to an injury. Feliciano was hurt and they had to play the appalling Spencer Burford at right guard in the second half. Not to take anything away from the Chiefs, winning championships gets you remembered forever. But I thought that Ravens team was the clear class of the NFL by the end of the season and the advanced metrics agreed. And I thought they were the better team in terms of underlying performance in the playoff game - they could get chunk plays on offense while the Chiefs could only get 4 and 5 yard plays. The Chiefs had crazy fumble luck throughout the playoffs - normally teams recover about 50% of the fumbles in games and higher fumble recovery rates regress sharply to the mean, but the Chiefs recovered all four fumbles in the AFC title game (2 of the Ravens and 2 of their own). But the Chiefs did the most with their limitations on offense, the Ravens were undisciplined and sloppy and played themselves out of a championship they should probably have won.

2011 Giants run was tough too.  You had a very good Falcons team who finished 10-6 that year, but were 13-3 the year before and after.  15-1 Packers led by Rodgers who had one of the best seasons you'll ever see, stats don't even do it justice.  You finish your NFC run with the 2011 49ers, who were in the beginning of their fantastic 3-year stretch and made it to the Super Bowl the next year.  Then of course they have to play the 13-3 Patriots, who are more motivated than ever to avenge what happened years before.

2007 Giants run might still be better just because of how damn good the '07 Pats were, but the '07 Bucs are way worse than any team from the '11 Giants run.
