MLB is the QB of the defense OG don't even call out the blocks like the center does.

position value MLB > OG

the only position with less value than OG is FB

You have never been more wrong.

Look at the top paid guys at each position and it will tell you how the NFL feels about the OG position vs the ILB position.

Protecting your QB is incredibly important and that is what they do.

I'd say it's a wash.  My want at #8 would be an ILB over an OG.

Priority #1 is Trubisky. If it is a wash then that should take priority.

We can still protect him without using the #8 pick on a OG.  I'd MUCH rather keep our top 10 OG Sitton and pay him is modest contract for his play.  I don't see the need to push him out the door. (Not saying you're saying that)  He may be a little long in the tooth but he plays a position that you can get away with that at.

I think Sitton will struggle in this system more than the last.

Nelson would be a BPA pick.

I would like to go OT followed by WR, but I am not sure that it allows for enough help on defense.

We don't know what the system is.  That's the good thing about our coach.  Sittons history leads me to believe he'd be fine.  He can play in a zone or man.  He can also backup C which is a perk.

more valuable to the 06 bears Brain Urlacher or Ruben Brown

2013 49ers Patrick Willis or Alex Boone

2000 ravens ray lewis or Mike Flynn

Seriously. This isn't even debatable.
