Random Note:

Zach Tom is now in some rarified PFF air.

He's now the #8 graded tackle in the league.  79.9 overall.  74.4 pass block.  81.6 run block.

If he's pointing at Runyan and saying he was supposed to block someone else, odds are Tom was correct.

Helluva pick and player so far.  Even our offense cannot hold him back.

Couldn't tell you, just know he hit 75% last year in the NFL and that's really good.

It would take some serious dissecting but I wonder how these 50-50 balls get scored in terms of ball placement by the QB. Meaning, is there any difference in a 50-50 ball depending on if the ball is high-low or left-right in the WR's catch radius relative to the location of the defender who is contesting it.

Extrapolating on this, if Watson was 9-12 last year and O'fer this season...is that 100% a Watson issue, or is there some percentage you assign to the QB in terms of placement of those throws?

Watson was 9/12 last year, the notion he can't get the ball came from this year.

he can't even consistently catch it when he was wide open as a rookie.  He isn't a natural hand catcher, never has been, and probably never will be.

Davante was always a natural hands catcher who struggled with drops in the adjustment to the NFL.

100% yes.  Rodgers is a better qb and while less willing was more capable of fitting in tight throws.

Love, thus far is very willing but not very capable of fitting in tight throws.

ALSO, his WRs are holding him back on these tight window throws.  He fits a few in there and the WR drops it when contested.

this is not all on the defense this is because no one fears our offense so why not go for it. Other teams that have a bit more fear or giving up points won't just go for it all the time.

Did you not read the part where the offense is ranked higher on 3rd down than the defense. Forget the 9 times teams have made if on 4th down. Just the third down stat alone tells you our defense is not good.
