Yeah keeping him around for another year to just gain 2.2m in a year we may have 80+m in cap space isn't worth it. Cut him loose. Personally I think that doing the analysis by analyzing the cap is wrong. As long as there are no glaring cap issues, one should look at the new money. Campbell is making 10.75M in new money in 2024. If you can use that money in assets that give you better production you should cut him, because we are not the Saints or the 2022 Packers anymore. It's simple. Man o man, Campbell has really went down hill fast. Not sure what has happened but age waits for no one. Time to get rid of him without hesitation. Walker hasn't really been any revelation lately either but not sure he's being used correctly. There's a whole lot of teams where the inside LB's are much better than what GB has. Time for a change there plus the secondary is a disaster.

They'll need to decide if Campbell is just done, or being misused at this point in his career. Did you just see the replay just posted before your post? Campbell is in the wrong hole or missed the hole each time. The guy just doesn't have it .. period. Save the 3 million and move on.

Agree on this but Quay has to play better .. he hasn't been doing much. Very possibly being misused for what his skills are.
vegas492
Wicks with 97 receiving yards. Was really hoping he'd get over 100. Dude is looking better and better every week. Helluva pick.
packfanfb
Hope Reed doesn't have a turf toe or similar injury that could knock him out for the final 3 games. He needs 2 receptions to break the rookie record.

I think the biggest question for Campbell will be who the new DC is and what emphasis they put on ILB. It will be hard to pay him that much but if we need multiple quality ILBs to make the presumably new scheme work, we might keep him because he is capable of better play and it would suck to throw that much dead cap down the tubes when we need talent there. Safety will need an overhaul no matter what so I hope a new DC has a clear vision for what kind of player we need there. Defensive front has some talent, keep finding up and coming depth there and make sure you have someone who can maximize that strength.
Mazrimiv
Without going into all the details, this is GB's playoff outlook in a nutshell (better than I expected) Quote If the Packers win their final three games against Carolina, Minnesota and Chicago, they will still have a greater than 95% chance to make the playoffs. What's the probability the Packers make the playoffs?

Problem being, none of the can stay health, on the field. Maybe another year in the weight/training room will help. Musgrave and Kraft with Sims .. TE is set.

Leader
Zach Kruse - This is interesting because the Packers removed Campbell from the injury report in Week 15.
