teamorange
You cherry picked your stats. Drinkwater is good but those stats really don't show the whole picture as Kempus showed. I bet if you look at those stats Drinkwater also has the most attempts. 5 hours ago, Kip Smithers said: Tell me about it. He's a solid player and was overpriced even in today's market. Think about this for a second, we paid more for Drinkwater than we did for Kante and that was only a year ago. The only reason why he is a Chelsea player because he's English and because of Kante. Yah and a year ago pogba went for what 80m? Things changed when Neymar went 227M.

A year ago Stones went for 50m. Troy Deeney was being offered close to 30m. Bolasie for 30m. Sissoko for 30m. This isn't new lol. Even before Neymar you had Kyle Walker going for 50. Lukaku for 75. After Neymar this summer the prices of players jumped a ton. Also Kante was a release clause, he would've gone for more on the open market. That's something that's certainly overlooked. Kante would have went for 50-60m last summer if he didn't have a release clause.

No im not saying that. I'm saying the prices were ridiculous last summer. The top quality players weren't going for as much. Even before Neymar the prices were inflated. Now you see the world class players (which there aren't many, relatively) being priced extremely
UKTexans
Morata was impressive against Morgan and McGuire, shows he has some tough stuff.
PAW
It is sounding like Musonda is going to start against Qarabag. Hopefully he impresses.

PAW
This is why all of our talented youth players always leave. If you can't feature vs Qarabag at home, there is no point in staying. It's always hard to integrate youth at a big club, but at some point you have to try. Even if you look at someone like Rashford, the only reason he got a chance was due to injuries and then he scores 4 goals in his first 2 games and has never looked back. If it wasn't for injuries, no one might know who he is either right now. You don't know what you have unless you give them a chance. I worry Christensen (who was fantastic again) will request a transfer. How often is Luiz going to be benched? Christensen is way too good to be playing league cup type games only and it doesn't look like Conte will use him at either outside CB spot. PAW
And almost a second. Loved his celebration, you can see how much it meant to him. He has looked very confident and comfortable, this game is a lot of pressure for him. If he didn't impress, which he certainly has done so, his season was basically over. Imarobot
I have to say Ethan Ampadu has looked great as well. Soooo composed for a 17 year old.
Kip Smithers
So happy to see Musonda score. Great moment. While he played very well tonight, you can see why Conte isn't integrating him into a regular first team football. Physically it's a bit too much for him. Talent wise he's more than good enough but his stature is a bi concerning.
