Maybe he's exactly who he was this year and we gave up a rotational player at a high value position, and a position of need for a guy who won't be playing when things are going well and sucks when we need him.

Maybe... we will have to tune in to find out.

They were also higher on Hundley and felt he was more than capable to play some competent QB.  Maybe the ability to judge QB talent by MM and some others is lacking.

MM was part of the organization that took Alex Smith over Aaron Rodgers

You know that the staff was higher on Hundley outta UCLA than Alex was? :)

Also, it's not saying much that MM was on the staff. Unless you k ow who his preference was. Also, if Smith and Rodgers swapped situations Smith would very likely be the better QB right now.

Objection, conjecture without evidence.

Randall wasn't going to lose or win us any Super Bowls. This is all minor, he was a bad pick. Teddy had a rough go these last few years. Go KENNY!

I'm currently day dreaming--Cleveland just traded away their only modern era franchise QB to a franchise that as been blessed with QB play over the last 20 years for a medicore DB.

Kizer's young let this movement marinade for a bit--we got some years left.

Except we just made our defense worse, not closer to elite.

Maybe.... don’t know yet. Offseason is just beginning. Sign Colvin, draft Ward/James/Jackson maybe they become a good secondary... who knows.

All we know is that there will be change.

Thought it was fairly well known that MM had a say in the QB SF drafted and it was Smith not Rodgers.  IF Rodgers is this GOAT QB, I highly doubt that Smith would be better than Rodgers if they had traded places.

No, we know that we removed a mid tier CB from our roster.

You're going to have to replace that. In order to replace it, you're going to have to spend resources that could have been spent at other positions.

Removing a player from a defense only improves the defense if he's blocking a more talented player. Looking at the CB rotation currently on the roster, do you believe that's the case?

Even if it is the case, the value we got for him is still pretty awful.

One season of Kizer on one of the worst teams ever assembled is hardly evidence either

Well....Kizer was the starting QB for 15 (at least I think that many) of that teams games.  Might not be a huge sample size, but it is more than Hundley got as the QB in GB..where he won 3 games.

He at least had a decent resume to go off of.

And was almost out of the league until Andy Reid said come to KC.

Lets not act like he had team banging down his door.

Kizer was a rookie... hard to be THAT critical of his resume at this point.

No, I think a season of NFL production is exactly evidence.

That team wins a few games with an average NFL QB. It's only one of the worst teams ever assembled with a dumpster fire at QB.
