You can’t win it every year and what they did last year was amazing. There’s nothing wrong with rooting for a team that makes the playoffs every damn year. The other team that plays in Capital One had the same result in the playoffs last year bc of injury and this year just missed the playoffs - for the better of their future - bc of injures too and they get blasted regularly. I guess the Caps have earned a pass though bc they are always amongst the best in the NHL, they won the Stanley last year and they almost always go on deep runs in the playoffs. That being said, this looks the worst for Ted. He went cheap on the HC and the result was winning the Stanley Cup last year w/ Trotzy to losing in the 1st with Reardon. This looks as cheap as the Lerner’s not paying to keep Dusty, not paying to get Bud Black and then hiring Davey who took one of the best teams in the majors and made it average since being hired.
