- I'll say it, we miss Danny Shelton

Jourdan Lewis would be an interesting pick up for sure...

We're 3 players away on defense from having something truly special...despite any other defensive deficiencies (play-calling, average LB play, etc)

1.) An Impact DT replacement for Coley,

2.) An Impact DE replacement for Ogbah (I LOVE Genard Avery as a situational pass rusher but not a base 43 DE)

3.) An impact CB addition (Terrance Mitchell played really well, but a team always needs 3 Impact CBs and at 27 it's time to look for another young impact CB to pair with Ward)

The lengths you’ll go to to defend anything this organization does is truly incredible.

He was a pile jumper year 1. After that he was one of the best run defenders in the game. He made an impact and his presence has been missed. Coley isn’t nearly as good as we thought he’d be.

The writer pretty dispassionately favors Gaines.

Gaines is good he just can’t stay healthy. Only other issue we may come to is he doesn’t fit greggggs system. His one year with him in St. Louis was the worst of his career.

It's amazing, and he’s the only one who apparently doesn’t see it.

I’d use ward, Gaines, McKinnon on perimeter and then bbc and Carrie on the inside, I expect bbc to bounce back to average corner play with great run defense.

Bbc got benched because he got torched by juju week 1, juju is surplanting brown in Pitt this year, it means that he is more than pretty good.

Carrie just blows, I’d demote him to special teams, kick cover and kr

There’s no need to go to extremes to argue your point. Shelton was decent and kind of dumb to trade him with how thin we are at DT.

But coley has played decent enough. Could definitely be upgraded.
