They already don't practice , Tackle, Pads, etc enough with the new CBA, Preseason is needed. Besides do you start the year 2 weeks later or end it 2 weeks earlier? NFLPA isn't going to allow a 18 gm season. Less money in their pockets playing 2 extra weeks with more of a chance of injury to boot. Vast majority of your Superstars don't play but a full 3-4 QT's worth of snaps during all "4" of the games combined anyways. You cut it down to 2 GM's, how much playing time they going to get then? How many more soft tissue injuries will run into the first month of the season costing teams wins? Put it this way. In your scenario we might be playing the first 4 GM's of the season without Wentz, Foles, Alshon, Peters starting this Sunday? Leave it, let it ride! Kiltman Posted August 22, 2018 Share Posted August 22, 2018 the point of the whole thing was that this would happen during a CBA, I think the league will be willing to give more market share to the players for stuff like An additional game/HGH testing, etc. ALso have the new leagues popping up that give some guys, mostly lowend, a place to go. Plus you have all the gambling revenue in full effect by then, which is why I wonder if Howie will try to get Carson done early with his new deal. That way when the new CBA starts and the cap goes way up, it won't seem so bad. CBA is gonna be a big fight, I just don't think it's crazy for an additional game to happen, with what both sides will be fighting for. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
