For ****'s sake, the 49ers have been mentioned as a potential destination for every controversial player there is for the past 10+ years, and they got NONE of them, ever. It's been going on forever, and it's just at the point where it's not even funny anymore. And now that they signed Jordan Matthews, you can be pretty certain they're not even going to draft a wide receiver at all now. They're not going to part with Pettis, Goodwin, Taylor, or James. With Matthews and Bourne competing for the 5th and possibly 6th spots... I mean, everything aside, how do you go from, "oh, we might trade for freak'n OBJ," to, "OK, we're fine with our receivers. Just sign freak'n Jordan Matthews and we're done?" Doesn't make sense, does it? If they're so interested in a superstar WR like OBJ and they don't get him, logic dictates that they would be targeting a WR high in the draft. Alas, that's not what's going to happen.
