Kiwibrown
Joe Schobert is our most consistent, and also our best linebacker. He is a team leader and is the QB of our defense. We have him on contract through next season, now would be a great time to renegotiate while we have leverage. I would add 4 years on to his contract to run through 2023 at 11.5 million per year with 50% guaranteed, so a 4 year extension at 46 million 23 guaranteed. to pay for it I would cut collins next year or the year after. MistaBohmbastic
Those are awfully specific numbers. How do they compare to the contracts of other LB's around the league?

Kiwibrown
his stats projected across 16 games 147 tackles 16 pass deflections 3 sacks 3 ints 6 fumble recoveries 3 forced fumbles 3 tackles for a loss 6 QB hits If he plays that well for the nyear, it is elite production. AkronsWitness
He is very good at covering the middle of the field. Linebackers who can accelerate in coverage like the way he does is not easy to find.
LETSGOBROWNIES
I see no reason to let anyone walk with all the money we have, let alone young, productive, durable Pro Bowlers.
Thomas5737
I like Schobby D, he seems a little slight and I always worry he will be injured but he has held up well.

Just giving people options. We have let a lot of decent to good players go in the past.
MWil23
I love Slowbert. We need to lock him up to a 4-5 year deal, especially after we cut Collins in the off-season.
sdrawkcab321
Slojoe has done very well. An extension shouldn’t be an issue especially once Collins is cut

LETSGOBROWNIES
Man, y’all are so quick to want to cut someone lol Collins is on pace for about 100 tackles and 6+ sacks, 6 passes defended. That’s as good as anything he ever did in NE. And we still have tons of cap space. Collins should be going nowhere.
NateDawg
We have the most cap room in the league still. Unless someone’s not good enough to have a role/be part of the 46 for next year, why cut them? I don’t care if they’re a bit overpaid. Let’s add to the talent and not replace one for one. Kiwibrown
When it comes time to extent garrett we Collins will be off the books. We are going to be needing all the cash we can get at some point to keep the 'real players' we might have to cut Collins in year 3 so we can bring that money forward. All going well garrett I guna cost 25 million per year, Baker 35 million per year and ward 20 per season. That nearly had the cap on 3 dudes.
