I'm more interested in how many more playoff games he should have won. Particularly in those MVP seasons.

As far as the MVP seasons go, honestly, none of them except maybe the Chargers game in 2008. He definitely could have had better showings in a lot of those games but in almost every case the Colts/Broncos faced a better, more complete team.

That offenses in 2013 and 2004 shouldn't have got shut out. I don't care how good the Pats and Seahawks were, that is a bad look

The Seahawks were an elite defense, but there was no excuse for that pitiful performance they put on in the superbowl on a neutral field.  That offense was way more stacked than the Saints and 49ers, and the Saints played at Seattle in the rain.

You need to understand that MVP is nothing but a popularity contest.

A guy like Randall Cunningham played like a 2x MVP (1990 and 1998) but did not get the votes.

  • Take his 1990 or 1999 seasons against 25 0ther MVPs from other years and his numbers are better.
    • He lost to Montana in The Ultimate Weapon season (popularity contest in one of Montana's worst seasons from 84 on)
    • He lost to Terrell Davis 2K in 1998 (co-MVP worthy anyway)

The 1987 NFL MVP is the biggest joke of all:  Rice (30 votes) Montana (18 votes) Elway (36 votes)

  • Rice had 22 TDs in 12 real games
  • Elway won with 19 TD passes (8th) 3198 passing yards(4th) 83.4 rating (11th)
    • Montana split the vote 3 ways because sports writers are fan boy idiots
      • He went 10-1, but 2 of those games were strike games against scab players
      • He had 31 TDs but 5 were in scab games
      • 397 of his 3047 yards were in scab games
    • Steve Young threw 69 passes in real 49ers games and had 10 TDs that year.
  • Montana was the 2nd best statistical QB on his own team and a strikebreaker and he still got lots of MVP votes.

In the 1990 voting Montana got 26 votes and Cunningham got 18

  • He had 30 TDs 13 picks 3466 yards passing with a 91.6 rating AND 942 yards rushing with 6 TDs at 8 yards a carry.
  • Montana had 26 TDs and 16 picks (career high) 3944 yards and an 89.0 rating
  • The voters made sure that they voted for pocket QBs  Montana (26) Kelly (5) DeBerg (3) and even Moon (16,yes he had crazy yards but with an 8-7 team)
  • 8 of those a-holes voted for Bruce Smith rather than vote for Cunningham (Smith was 2nd in the league with 19 sacks )
  • Reggie White had 21 sacks in a 12 game season in 1987 and did not get 1 single vote

Who cares how a bunch of nasty morons voted? Cunningham was the best player in the league that year.

The worst 3 votes in NFL history were the 2 scumbags who both voted for Bettis in 1997 (and another jerk who voted for Carnell Lake (Peter King))

  • Barry Sanders had 2053 yards 6.1 per carry 304 receiving yards and 14 TDs.
  • Bettis had 580 less total yards, 5 less TDs, and 1.7 yards less per carry and two zero integrity clowns picked him over Sanders.
    • Bettis wasn't even the 2nd best RB that year, Terrell Davis was with 1750 yards and 15 TDs.
  • The best RB of all time in his best season got 18 of 44 votes.
  • Favre 'tied' Sanders through the corruption of popularity.

As the OP's case clearly stated, these sports writers stole the MVP award from Favre or Brees and gave it to Manning in 2009

Michaels and Collinsworth then say "Aww, shucks, why doesn't Brees have an MVP season?"

Like it was just some kind of bad luck instead of corruption.
