Why couldn’t Drew? He has been a solid spot starter in his career. If baker goes down short term. Stanton can hold serve. If Baker goes down long term, we’re screwed either way. The day I saw this video, was the day I no longer worried about our starting QB getting hurt..... Neither can do what Baker can do. So the offense is going to be handicapped. So I would go after the guy who would know the offense the best and can fully execute it. DizzyDean Posted March 14, 2019 Share Posted March 14, 2019 McCarron would be a fine backup, and either he or Stanton could help us win games if Baker goes down, not as dynamically, but we would not become "the Browns" again if baker went down if we had to play either Stanton or McCarron.
