This is probably true... that said, as a player I’d like to get more familiar with Belichick.

You’re missing the point entirely.... and now you’re only confirming the first post tyler made that you took offense to by admitting he “probably” makes the team better youre literally proving his point for him

Dan Quinn, and Irvin is originally from ATL. Turned down more money from NE and PIT to go to ATL. Good luck to him

Theres no 100% certainty, hence once i said probably. If that werent the case, we'd see every mid/high priced fa work out and make teams better, we both know that is far, far from the truth. childofpudding
Also, while I don't expect Irvin to change the needle too much, you never know. My guess is that there could be several high-scoring playoff games where the deciding factor is what defense can make a single key stop. Irvin coming in as a rotational pass rusher and making a couple key sacks for his hometown team could be the difference. ATL has some tough games coming up in the RS, though, so they'd have to get to the playoffs first.
BayRaider
As long as he’s not starting and used in situational times and in creative ways, you’ll be ok. Just get ready for at least one RTP call on a 4th down with the game on the line.
ET80
Depth at pass rusher is never a bad thing. Seems like a solid match between the two.
AFlaccoSeagulls
Irvin going to his hometown to play for his old DC in Seattle in the system he's familiar with and thrived in is about as good of a midseason FA acquisition as possible for Atlanta. The addition of Irvin and the return of Deion Jones next week will give them a big boost going foward. they'll make a good push when Jones comes back. Keep that dude away from Kamara though.
