This doesn't make sense. if dome is mafia, then means gopher is civ.

If gopher is civ, that means I'm cleared

(For those who missed it, I'm the dude who can pardon, and that's what gopher's result returned as)/

if you know this, how could you think I am mafia.

If we were smart, @Dome would be the one we lynch.

If gopher is mafia, he has to be the weakest one.

Dome could be the guy with the unblockable hit, and a lynch goes before the hit.

Can someone link me to posts where Gopher outright stated that Malf was the pardoner

And can someone link me to posts where Malf outright confirms?

He hints at it - quoting Malf and saying "pardon me". Malf confirmed it a couple pages back.

You just recited everything I pointed out earlier.

I always attempt to pressure people. Why does it matter?

Why did you bail.  You thought it was a good lynch when you started it.

Yet you all are voting me o.O

Your counter claim is just as believable as dome's, I just dont see any reason why dome would make this play when they did.  Now d3, sure but not d2

I would absolutely run this gambit as mafia.

As would I, only problem is to make the move d2 with no pressure on you is risky and taking an unnecessary risk that that they really could have used to solidly the win if they waited to d3.

Gopher, Matts, and squire

The problem is, either red and green investigators could know Malf's role.

another possibility is that gopher breadcrumbed to me in order to buddy me.

because my role sucks, so they werent going to kill me with that result

so what else could mafia use that info for?

Dropping that breadcrumb to me is more of a mafia play then civ play.  If you are the investigator you wanna stay hidden and his breadcrumb was pretty obvious.  It would have resulted in his death most likely via a hit if he was really the investigator.  Playing that careless is not a civ play it's more mafia then anything else.

preemptive strike.

gopher voted dome at end of night 1.

when dome investigated gopher and saw that he was the investigator, mafia probably thought gopher invested dome.

dome decided to claim first, because it would look super bad for gopher if gopher came back with a guilty on dome

from night 1
dome-1: gopher

obviously, but read day 2 again

gophers thing felt natural.

as i mentioned before, i bet mafia thought gopher investigated dome as got a guilty.

so they came up with thus preemptive scheme

Ir very well could have, but Gopher investing you over a few of the others also is why I rbink gopher is the one lying.

Why not invest raves (late switch to save kotn), kotn (got saved along with other suspicious activity during the day), me, Matts (started the orca train and bailed), etc.

Investing you would make since for mafia, not for a town investigator.

orca

VC:

Pickle rick-3: squire, malf, tk3
gopher-3: orca, whicker, pickle rick
kotn-: raves, bcb,
orca-3: kotn, matts dome

dome-1: gopher

10 minutes

This was right before Orca and PR flipped.

Gopher was in danger last night. Is that really the person Dome would set up as the fall guy if he were going to do it?

I agree with this logic.

Mafia would be power hunting. Why not check in on Malf.

Civ would (should) be trying to glean additional information from the prior night's vote

when the result came back that gopher was investigator, why not pull a preemptive strike, especially if there was a very good chance that gopher investigated dome
