The Denver Broncos announced the hire of outside linebackers coach Brandon Staley Tuesday.

Staley was a coveted assistant coach during the re-shuffling of coaching staffs. The Green Bay Packers requested to meet with him for the opportunity to serve on Matt LaFleur's first coaching staff. Chicago blocked his opportunity to move within the NFC North.

We have been linked to the Rams assistant LB coach Chris Shula.

Lives with McVay and played college ball with him. That's so much cooler than Kingsbury just being friends with McVay. Nevermind his Gramps is a HOF coach.

From Packers Wire:

Olivadotti is only 45, but he’s spent 17 years as a defensive assistant coach in Washington, including eight years as a linebackers coach.

The former Purdue receiver originally entered the NFL coaching ranks as a defensive quality control assistant for Washington in 2000. He’s served as a defensive backs coach, defensive line assistant and a special teams assistant, and he left Washington in 2011 to serve as the inside linebackers coach at Georgia – coaching eventual NFL players Alex Ogletree and Jarvis Jones – before returning to the Redskins in the same role in 2014.

Olivadotti and LaFleur worked together in Washington for one year (2010).

^  thx for all the updates WiscFan3, greatly appreciated

Makes sense on the OL coach because apparently LaFleur does some things differently than Campen per one of the articles I came across

LaFleur is also very very concerned with keeping his QB "clean" and that's an opportunity for improvement in GB as AR rounds the corner into the back 9.

Here's the quote from PackersNews

"LaFleur revealed part of his philosophy, a guiding principle in how he approaches offense.

“I think it’s going to take us keeping him healthy, keeping him clean,” LaFleur said. “He’s taken a lot of hits. Certainly, that’s going to be at the forefront of our thought process in terms of protection.”
