Can’t find a spot for him, not an everydown LB and he moved to safety this year and obviously the Cards aren’t too happy with him.

Simmons' career coverage numbers aren't great. Opposing quarterbacks targeting Simmons have completed 73.1% of their passes for nine touchdowns on 182 attempts. Those quarterbacks have an 82.8 passer rating against Simmons,

Yea that looks like a case of a player who stuck between a Lb and a safety and not good enough for both

Might find a role in a defense that suits him but spending $3.5m and a draft pick you would need to be sure imo.

Just about to post this WTF!!!!!! We couldn’t offer a 4th or 5th 🤦🏽‍♂️

lemme guess he’s washed too

He's not washed, he's a bust. Another small tweener LB who can't stack and shed blocks.

These types are getting exposed in the pros. The shift to heavy passing offenses lead to teams overvaluing these smaller LBs for coverage ability. Unfortunately, they don't want to play LB, which you know means taking on blockers and filling lanes.

NE is ahead of the curve imo with traditional LBs with size who can attack a different way.

Meh ariz is weird sometimes. they let Hassan go and he just dam near led the nfl in sacks. They’re also in tank mode. Will be interesting to see how he does in nyg

Imo you have to play him more like Micah parsons role. He isn’t a safety imo. He’s more of a olb than mlb.

They tried that and it didn't work. He's not strong enough. And he's stiff in the lower body so struggles in coverage.

This is the opposite of the dogs they are looking for in Vegas.

Obviously this is a brutal wiff, but i do feel for defenders in this situation.
If the QB steps out and you touch, itll be a flag.
To me this is more on Barnes. . . he is lightly jogging over, Simmons is guiding him out of bounds thinking barnes has the inside covered.

both defenders, look bad here.
The angle Simmons took was bad, hes running horizontal on the goalline, while hes at the 5 yard line.
Barnes made it look like he was there for support, but had given up on the play.

Yikes, id be furious if that was 2 players on our D
