The shift to heavy passing offenses lead to teams overvaluing these smaller LBs for coverage ability. Unfortunately, they don't want to play LB, which you know means taking on blockers and filling lanes. Meh ariz is weird sometimes. they let Hassan go and he just dam near led the nfl in sacks. They’re also in tank mode. To me this is more on Barnes. . . he is lightly jogging over, Simmons is guiding him out of bounds thinking barnes has the inside covered. both defenders, look bad here. The angle Simmons took was bad, hes running horizontal on the goalline, while hes at the 5 yard line. Barnes made it look like he was there for support, but had given up on the play.
