I don't think we trade him, let alone to a division rival. Would be foolish to sell him so low. I think this is a big season coming up for him if they just let him play inside consistently. People don't realize that his younger sister committed suicide last year right before the season and there were some other personal things going on with him that were hard on him. Playing him at DE in a 43 was the worst thing that could have happened to him on the football field. He's a DT/34 DE through and through

But I would view him as a 1st round talent. 15 minutes ago, Counselor said: He can be yours at pick 23 tonight! While this is a passing league, early Round 1 talents tend to be seen as able to excel in both phases of T play. Little is outstanding in the pass block game. Lack of run block power is always a flag that drops a T (well, unless your GM is a tools-first guy). The thing is, as a team with a mauler-mentality, great tools but raw pass block skills LT Bolles who kills us with penalties/presssures - I'd rather take the guy with the skills, if I'm not in a power scheme. I don't blame teams for dropping him to the 4th T on the board, but for a team like HOU, he's likely still a huge upgrade on your T situation, and he's going to actually offer Watson a chance to not get murdered and running for his life like he did last year. PossibleCabbage
So the report was "Sweat saw a cardiologist, and the cardiologist said they misdiagnosed him at the combine- he's fine." Specifically they thought he had hypertropic cardiomyopathy because they measured the thickness of some tissue and found it was over a threshold, but the specialist says that they measured incorrectly and he is within a normal range. Now you see why I feel Tua isn't a good pro prospect lol - He's going into his second full year. If he doesn't improve on a lot of things, he's going to make a ton of people sad when he gets drafted on a Thursday. The thing about Tua that I think is going to get nitpicked to death by NFL staffs, fairly or unfairly but you can damn well be sure it's going to happen is that he's a lefty. It's something that's enough of an anomaly in the league that it's just not something coaches have to deal with that often (and it's not as simple as Madden where you magically flip the play and every other player in automation is able to correspond without any issue). Throw in that his height will be an issue all the way up until at least the combine measurements. Etc. Etc.

All Giants beat writers, yes all of them, still maintain Drew Lock is the Giants preference at QB and it is for after pick 6. Also, there are the latest rumors that only the Giants and Dolphins have been talking to the Cardinals about trading for Rosen. Those seem more likely to me than Jones at 6. But I also thought for sure Odell wasn't going to get traded, so what do I know. I love Jones' intangibles, but if NYG is willing to spend the 1.17 or even 2.7 pick on Jones and not offer it for Rosen (ARI might be holding on to him, so no guarantee), then Gettleman's a lost cause IMO.
