Worried about somebody else's money

I don't care about Dan Snyder's money.  I care about the fixed cap about how much Collins will be eating up of that.  This could seriously hinder our ability to retain players like Scherff and Ioannidis.

So stop rooting for this team. We all know they don't always make the smartest moves. I doubt this stop thier plans on resigning Scherff. Ioannidis may be the odd man out.

I think Ioannidis was always a goner. Scherff will get re-signed.

I meant mcgee

McGee was dead man walking, contractually speaking. Given how little he played and who they had in front of him, that was a foregone conclusion. Are SDH, JHC, and other-Foster really ready to step up? I'm less than convinced.

Worried about somebody else's money, not about the talent they just acquired. I'm not getting into a debate about the deal, I like the signing of the player. Once again his guaranteed money isn't 84 million and he isn't gonna hold us back. The Vikings last year made that mistake.

He isn't going to push them forward all that much either.

Ppl cry when we sign a high priced FA & if we spread the $ out amongst 3 players.

It's a joke

Had we spent the same contract on CJ Mosley, I would be like "that's a lot of money, but it makes sense given their needs."

I know he's a hell of a upgrade at a position of need on a defense with lots of talent. That talent takes another step foward, The Defense will be better! Payne, Allen, Collins, Monroe, Dunbar, ect....The defense was the bright spot the team at the start of last season, so add more pieces to make it better. Landon Collins makes the Defense better. Sorry if that bothers people.

How is SS not a need?

The time of the "in-the-box" safety that cannot cover is coming to the end. Yes, you need two safeties, but you realistically need two that can cover.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe my friends who are Giants' fans are wrong, and Collins can cover players. Even so, this is an incredible amount of money to throw at a player at a position that was effectively the cheapest of any position on defense (only specialists and tight ends had lower franchise and transition tag numbers; remember, those represent the top of the market). Collins' deal just catapulted way above that number.

Guess we'll agree to disagree on the idea that a guy who plays in the secondary will impact the game that much.
