MosEisley Posted April 27, 2019 Share Posted April 27, 2019 Cole Holcomb A native of Florida who was largely missed by the major scouting services before he landed in Chapel Hill, Holcomb was not invited to the scouting combine, but used the Tar Heels pro day to showcase himself for NFL scouts, running the 40 yard dash in 4.48 seconds and posted a 132 inch broad jump. Those are considered very good numbers for a linebacker who stands at 6 foot 1, and will go a long way in proving he has NFL caliber speed both in short bursts and on long plays. Holcomb put out good tape during his four years in college, three of which he was a starter for North Carolina, recording 327 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, and 12 pass breakups. He led the Tar Heels in total tackles recorded on defense in each of his three final seasons at school.
