Cowboys star running back gets 6 games and it's an injustice somehow.

So the specifics of the investigation procedures (evidence or lack thereof aside) don't bother you in the slightest? It's all a-okay as far as your concerned? The NFL should routinely ignore the findings and suggestions of their lead investigators and then bar them from sharing their findings?

There is photo evidence of injuries consistent with domestic abuse.  The witness may be a low quality character herself, but that doesn't mean the abuse didn't happen.

His other offseason adventures alone warrant a six game suspension.

"[T]he NFLPA and Elliott do not seek in this Petition for the Court to make its own determinations about Elliott’s or Thompson’s credibility, or any other matter of fact-finding properly left to the arbitrator,” the petition states. “Rather, the controlling and paramount legal question presented here is whether an arbitration concerning the existence of ‘credible evidence’ for employee discipline based on ‘he-said/she-said’ claims of domestic violence can be fundamentally fair when senior NFL Executives have conspired to obscure (including from the Commissioner and his advisors) their own Director of Investigations’ conclusion that there was no credible evidence upon which to impose discipline, and the arbitrator has refused to require the NFL to make available for testimony and cross-examination: (i) the accuser whose credibility is at issue (or the investigative notes of her six interviews), and (ii) the Commissioner who was deprived of critical facts in making his disciplinary determination”

Not according to the NFL's own medical examiner:

"In addition, the NFL's own medical experts concluded that many of her injuries predated the week in question and likely occurred during a period of time when Mr. Elliott was not in contact with the accuser."

I guess you should've been in charge of the investigation, then. Doubt you would've done worse. If the league had just been clear that this was about a repeated pattern of behaviors that falls under personal conduct, the NFLPA may not be fighting it so hard.

The truth of the situation is no longer the matter at hand, unfortunately. The league's process is the subject of Elliott's countersuit.

The full 160 page report by the NFL has been put out there.  Seems awfully detailed for events that never happened.  NFL must have great fiction writers.  Freaking Mara.

And if you read through it (especially toward the end), you'll see affidavit after affidavit (even two from off-duty cops) that witnessed the alleged "victim" get into a fight with another women outside a bar the night in question.

Here's how I envision the conversation:

Goodell: I see you've been charged with DV

Elliott's representation: We have text messages where the alleged victim point blank admits to lying out of revenge, as well as photographs and social media posts as cut and dry evidence supporting the fact that our client wasn't in the location or vicinity at the time of the alleged incident. Furthermore, Columbus PD investigated the matter, agreed with our synopsis, as did a separate female investigator that this is likely made up and bogus:

Goodell: Zeke will be suspended for 6 games without pay

Says the man ignoring an extremely detailed report and photo evidence in favor of a conspiracy theory.

Says the man ignoring the counter points in my post. Just because you don't want to address something doesn't mean it goes away.

This lawsuit is less about the evidence per se, and more about the incredibly shady investigative procedures the NFL used to justify the suspension.

So we're not arguing about whether or not he did it? What does the evidence say?
