So, you THINK that Rags is telling the truth about Swag and actually invested/got a scum result back?

If I was outed scum and had an invest in a rival scum I’d definitely out them too 

If i was scum being red lettered I don’t think my first thought would be to fake an invest

So the SwAg theory goes like this:

• At the start of D4, Rags said SwAg was Misa Amane.
• When red lettered by Dome, Rags "revealed the whole truth" of his power and role.
• When he was inevitably killed, the parts of his truth that were immediately verifiable (name, role, color) were verified.
  • He also said that the note would randomly transfer to someone else.

So, known killer points to someone and thus we trust him.

Possible scenarios:

1. SwAg is in fact mafia, and is Misa Amane.
2. SwAg is in fact mafia, and is not Misa Amane
3. SwAg is in fact town.
4. SwAg is in fact other.

In one of those four scenarios, Rags was telling the truth and the whole truth, which this case is completely based on.

 

Why exactly are we trusting Rags here? Is it because we have nothing else?

I’m going where Dome tells me to go he is the only cleared town. And he hasn’t told me where to go yet. So Swag is the best option currently.  Well I guess ET and Mwil are clear too but then there was discussion about one of them possibly having masks or something like that or being light and being able to be green on a sensor?
