Binance, the biggest exchange in the world, is getting invested for tax fraud and money laundering. It was also discovered that Tether, the world's biggest stable coin, was supposed to be pegged 1:1 USD but the company only has $0.03 for every dollar. I've made money off of mineable crypto, but the environmental impact, combined with the buy bots that are causing a GPU shortage, have been objectively bad for the general population.
