JBURGE
Mid-Season Break At the season's mid point, the Bills are 7-1 (!) and first in their division. Let's go! Let's take a look at the team's stats thus far 2022 BUFFALO BILLS MID-SEASON PLAYER STATS OFFENSE PASSING PASS YDS PASS TDS INT COMP % QBR QB WESLEY KILIAN 2,478 30 4 64% 123.2 RUSHING ATT RUSH YDS RUSH TD YPC RB RASHAWN PRINCE 126 492 2 3.9 RB CORTEZ MAY 34 96 2 2.8 RECEIVING REC REC YDS REC TDS AVG WR TREVEON JAMESON 39 668 4 17.1 WR SHREDRICK MCKINLEY 44 611 7 13.9 TE MICHAEL YOUNGER 44 483 9 11.0 HB RASHAWN PRINCE 12 228 3 19.0 WR KENDALL KERR 17 210 2 12.4 DEFENSE - - TAK (TFL) SAK INT FF / FR TD MLB TREMAINE EDMUNDS 62 (4) 1.5 2 1/0 1 LB VOSEAN JOSEPH 52 (2) 1.0 1 1/0 0 DE ZAC SESSION 21 (7) 8.5 0 1/1 0 DT ED OLIVER 27 (6) 8.0 0 0/0 0 CB TRE'DAVIOUS WHITE 41 0.0 1 0/0 1 This offense is absolutely killing it! 30 TDs for Kilian?????? This is a ridiculous 1 year turnaround. Both Treveon Jameson and Shredrick are on pace for over 1200 yards. On defense, Zac Session and Ed Oliver are both on pace for 16+ sacks. We're not generating a ton of turnovers, but it looks like we're getting a good lead and teeing off on the QB. Player Re-Signings There are a ton of key players coming up this year, including the 2019 class stars Ed Oliver and Vosean Joseph. I am conflicted on bringing them both back.. I have a ton of cap space, so my preference would be to bring them back on shorter deals so I can have a great team, but also be able to replace them by the time most of my guys are ready for extensions. Let's see what we can do. I have appx $103m in cap space OG | Dion Dawkins | 82 will not be re-signed CB | Levi Wallace | 79 will not be re-signed HB | Devin Singletary | 77 will not be re-signed OL | Cody Ford | 78 will not be re-signed S | Obi Melinfonwu | 76 is signed to a 2 year $6.9m deal TE | Dawson Know | 72 is signed to a 2 year $4.8m deal DT | Ed Oliver | 92 signs a 2 year $29m deal to stay with the Buffalo Bills LB | Vosean Joseph | 80 signs a 3 year $31.4m deal to stay with the Buffalo Bills I offered Oliver and Joseph heavier but shorter deals. I expect to move on from both of them in 2 years, trading Joseph and letting Oliver walk via FA so I can get my imaginary compensation pick. This sets my solid superbowl window for another 2 years, and we'll see who I am able to bring back in the coming years. My QB will be ready to re-sign next year, and who knows how much that will be. Rookie Developments I of course had less than last year, but let's see how the rookie class turned out. Keep in mind there will be the UDFAs that won't play any snaps, along with the backup C with hidden dev, so we will find those out when the season's over. S Mike Kincade is a Star CB Silas Chatman is a Star C James Flowers is a Star C Konrad Hughes is still hidden So no new superstars or X Factors. But that's okay, because we did have Vosean progress to a superstar, and.... TE Michael Younger has progressed to a Superstar! Younger got a in-season goal to get 3TD or 150 yards in a game to progress to a superstar, and he met that goal. Now, his superstar ability kinda sucks because I don't play TEs in the slot often, but I guess it means I can look out for formations that do. He isn't that fast, so if I could run a heavier set with only 2 WRs and Younger in the slot with a LB on him, I'm sure his slant and in/out game would be really effecive. This could be really useful in the red zone as well. Here are all of the Superstar and X Factors on the team.... it's getting a little ridiculous. I probably shouldn't have signed both Oliver and Vosean. Adrenaline_Flux
If Kerr continues not really doing much, you could probably just put Younger as your Slot WR in the Depth Chart (though I don't know if he'd be at TE or Slot WR on plays that have both, I suppose, but it would still increase his slot usage in formations with 3 WR and 0 TE.).

I didn't get a ton of running going, but Rashawn Prince did have 2 receiving TDs. Defense is still really hard in this game, but but Ed Oliver got 5 sacks without me usering him once. Dude is an animal and abused their OL. Just run man coverage with no blitz. QB will have a hard time finding an open receiver and your line will get there eventually. Works for me at least. I simmed the rest of the regular season last night and will update the season stats tonight. Thanks for this. I actually did change my specialist depth chart to have TE Younger as my 2nd slot WR. I imagine the only time I will have 2 slots is when I have 4wr 1te or 4wr 1rb sets, so I won't be losing much by moving Younger to the slot Like you said I have no clue which comes 1st in priotity - 1st TE or 2nd slot, but I think it would be the slot placement, because if your #1 WR is #1 slot, he goes to the slot. Neumatic
Your drafting is far superior to mine. Iv hit on a few late round O-lineman that have been hidden dev, most turned out to be stars. I about cried when my QB I drafted #5 overall turned out to only have a Star dev. following

Honestly I wish it wasn't so good, because the team is far too dominant this early, it takes the excitement out of it for me. You'll see what I mean tonight when I update the rest of the season. This past draft I got all normal or star dev, which is what I would say is average. The first draft I got the QB who was a superstar, and then star and normal. From what I can tell, there seem to be about 5-7 superstar/X Factors in a draft, and a ton of star. The draft I nailed had 2 x factors and I got 1 3rd overall. It had 4 superstars that I saw, and I got two (4th ovr and early 2nd), and one of the other superstars was an early 3rd. Star looks better than it used to, but when you think about it, it's the same as the old Quick development. Seeing a ton of hidden guys is cool but when they're all Star then it is a pretty mediocre draft. I will say that in all 3 drafts I did for this franchise, there has been a mid round T that has been awesome. If that is a trend it will be easy to manipulate, but at least you have to basically spend a 2nd every year to get him.
JBURGE
@Neumatic All I'll say is make sure you draft the younger guys who are excellent in both the traits and combine stats. In this game so far, the only position I've seen become a superstar with average or below average combine performance is QB.
Neumatic
Yea I only scout 22 y/o and younger until the combine. Then I’ll scout a 23 y/o if they tested well. There was two WR’s I was debating between in rd 2, performed similarly at the combine and attributes were both good. The one I drafted was a normal dev and the other one ended up being a superstar. I wish I could just sim to the end of the season without losing scouting points. Gets monotonous scouting every week. I’d like to just sim and check the draft news then scout at the end of the season. They could have just made it so you have to use all your scouting points accumulated before the combine. Overall though coming from Madden 18, I like the changes. You could build a power house over night with the 18 drafting.

You can turn scouting on "auto" in the league or team settings.... you'd still have super bowl and 3 offseason weeks of scouting points to fill in from combine scores. It's not perfect, but it would work for you
