Kizer made last season's worst QB Peterson look like a MVP candidate.

BTW how did the Raiders get five time outs in the second half? Green Bay didn't even use all of theirs and the refs said they did...

I think Kizer stinks but tbf he didn't really have anything to do in that 2nd half. They just handed the ball off so many damn times it was like LaFleur was trying to keep the clock running and get this game over with as quickly as possible

PackersWire:

Game Balls

WR Trevor Davis: Welcome to the 53-man roster, Trevor Davis. He cemented his spot on the team with a huge game as a receiver, returner and runner. He went over 100 total yards.

CB Chandon Sullivan: He gave up a touchdown pass while covering from the slot in the fourth quarter, but how often does a cornerback tally four pass breakups in a single preseason game? Sullivan was all over the place making plays Thursday night.

P JK Scott: His seven punts averaged 47.1 yards. All seven were hit well. The consistency is coming.

Key Stat: 113: The total yards produced by receiver Trevor Davis on his seven touches (five catches, one carry, one return).

– The Packers have to be excited about Trevor Davis, who made up for lost time with a huge game. He returned a punt 17 yards, raced downfield for 18 yards on a well-designed end around, leaped to catch a 23-yard touchdown pass, made an impressive catch along the sideline for another 20 yards and turned a quick screen into another first down by breaking a tackle in space. His speed and elusiveness are game-changing attributes, and Matt LaFleur appears to have a good idea about how to use him.

– Maybe the backup quarterback competition isn’t so settled. Tim Boyle started and produced three straight touchdown drives to end the first half. He completed 16 passes, tossed two scores and didn’t take a sack. DeShone Kizer handled the second half and mostly struggled.

– The receiver competition likely gained clarity, although not the way the Packers wanted. Equanimeous St. Brown suffered a potentially major ankle injury in the first half and could be in danger of missing a big chunk of the season. Meanwhile, Trevor Davis and Darrius Shepherd both stood out. The two are similar, but they have both earned a roster spot. Meanwhile, J’Mon Moore doesn’t look long for Green Bay. He didn’t see action until the fourth quarter.

– Shepherd os 5-10 but he plays so much bigger. He catches everything. Twice, he made out-stretched catches along the sideline. It’d be hard to argue he hasn’t been one of the roster’s 53 best players.

I really think that they will either keep Shepard or Davis, not both. Lazard if he is okay will be the likely replacement for EQ as he has the same range but has a bigger body.
