At the same time, I have to admit that the Packers' defense did look very good last night. It should be a fun one next week at Lambeau. It's also a wildly different blocking scheme - legitimately a night and day in terms of blocking concepts if Kubiak has implemented the "legal" cut-blocking ZBS that was his calling card in his Denver and Houston schemes, and is a distant cry from what the Packers have come accustom to expecting for Minnesota under their more recent offensive masterminds. What will be interesting to see is that several of the Packers' recent defensive acquisitions have were actually running against similar blocking schemes in practice on their old teams, before free agency.

It's evident Trubisky will never be a traditional QB. Read options, gadget plays, trickery, and the occasional back-shoulder throw to A-Rob since that's the only somewhat deep pass he can complete. Utilize the kids athleticism. Who cares if he gets a little dinged up. You're not going to extend him. A lot of points? I' have reservations about that. But it will definitely be interesting (and perhaps telling) to see how well Nagy and Fangio dissected one another while they were working together last year. They certainly each got a good amount of practice-reps to have a solid idea of what the other's tendencies will be and what their optimal gameplan will be. The way this reads, he could have made the pass and the receiver could have just dropped the ball too. To be fair, though, as fast as this game is, there could probably be pictures like that taken in just about every game. Every quarterback misses open receivers.
