POTD Thursday 9/7: Road Trips!

Yeah. It's always to go see family. I drive because I don't want to be stuck at any of their houses without a car. Also don't want to leave my cats behind.

Almost all of my trips involve the road and usually the destination or my arrival there does not equate to fun.

I fly for one of my jobs. So I've been looking at taking a road trip for a few years. Just can't find the time to take it.

Been debating about going from the midwest to Colorado/Utah for some camping. Also been thinking about going to the Northeast. That's where the majority of states are that I haven't been to yet.

Went from Tucson to Minnesota for a music festival. We drove to somewhere in south Texas to pick someone up and that seemed like that was the whole trip. Apparently Texas is huge.

We drive 2-3 times per year to Wanaka from Chch which takes 4.5 hours, its about 400 KM.  To drive from the bottom to the top of my Island takes 14-16 hours depending on how many sheep crossings there are.

There can't be many areas as small as NZ that cram in quite as much to see.

I love living in New Zealand. The furtherest you are from a major body of water is 80 kilometres, there are mountains and hills nearly everywhere. Forest, rivers, lakes it is beautiful when you get out of the cities.
