With Green Bay and Detroit in the division, our margin for error is slim. If they think Sam will struggle with his knee all year, Kaepernick makes a lot of sense. He's better than anything else out there, and better than what is on the roster.

He's not much better than Keenum and he's not saving our season if Bradford is out. Just take the losses with Keenum and secure the QB position in 2018.

If Bradford is going to be legit game time decision every 2 games. Then Kap is a fair option.

How does Kaepernick prevent us from securing our QB position in 2018? People are really reaching to justify an unjustified position.

A) Teddy coming back is not certain.

B) No one knows what Kaepernick would cost. Not exactly a ton of suitors vying for his services at the moment.

A) I agree, it isn't.

B) He won't be coming here at league min, another QB on the roster takes away more position players, and possibly special teams players we are all worried about.

There's much more optimism now than there was 12 months ago. Both pregame shows today reported he's ahead of schedule. They had previously expected him to miss the year, but that's no longer a given.

I really do believe the Vikings win this game if Bradford or Teddy were in.

Maybe Teddy, but the way our O-line played today I think Sam would have been killed back there too.  IMO, this loss is on penalties and the atrocious play of our offensive line.
