Hunter2_1
KANSAS CITYCHIEFS (8-4) 4:25p ETCBS NEW ENGLANDPATRIOTS (10-2) Here's some Brady rockets and awesome pocket dodging, as per usual... Stop Travis! If you notice on this play, Dont’a Hightower (#54) aligns on Kelce who is detached from the tackle and chips him on the TE’s release. Then, the Patriots bracket Kelce with Patrick Chung (#23) using outside leverage and Duron Harmon (#21) playing him to the inside. Mahomes is flushed from the pocket (in part by Hightower) and still looks for his tight end, and the pass is intercepted. So that's 3 players on him... The extra attention does, however, come at a cost. On Hill’s stunning 75-yard touchdown with just over three minutes remaining, Kelce is virtually triple covered, and Harmon is left alone with the speedy Hill: Their D summed up by their own Arrowhead Pride “Under the previous regime, defenders had to spend too much time thinking and not enough time playing,” said John about a unit that currently ranks 18th in the NFL in scoring, surrendering 21.5 points per game. “Spagnuolo utilizes a simpler one-gap defensive scheme that allows players to get back to relying on their natural instincts. This has resulted in a more downhill (and aggressive) style of play; it has certainly been more fun to watch.” “That isn’t to say Spagnuolo just sends them out there and watches what happens. He likes to mix up coverages and employ exotic blitzes. He isn’t afraid to take risks. the run defense is still not up to par: while the Chiefs as a whole rank 15th in the NFL with a DVOA of -2.1% — meaning that the team is above-average when analyzed on a play-to-play basis — they check in as only the 30th best unit in the league when it comes to slowing down opposing ground games (+7.2%). Last year, the Patriots were able to successfully run the ball against Kansas City and a repeat performance is not out of the question. However, according to John, the Patriots should also be able to find success throwing the football — even though not all areas of the field are necessarily the right ones to target. The secondary, for example, has played well and the team as a whole ranks sixth against the pass with a DVOA of -9.9%. He also threw four touchdowns and no picks, however, while going three and two in the categories when not blitzed. So what does this mean for the upcoming game between the two clubs? Looking at Mahomes’ statistics this season and how he performed against New England a year ago, it becomes obvious that the Patriots need to be able to generate pressure with four defenders. We got our hands full... Edited December 5, 2019 by Hunter2_1
CP3MVP
They’ve basically been unbeatable at home the last two years. That’s the only thing I have to hang my hat on right now
IheartMyV8
I have no confidence, sorry to say. I think we get shredded. Sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Elky
I can't see KC going into NE and beating a pissed off NE team with something to prove. Highly doubt we win in a blowout, but I think we'll walk out with the W. Edited December 6, 2019 by Elky

Pats#1
So infuriating watching the same Texans team that beat the Pats more comfortably than the score showed getting manhandled by a bad Broncos team.

Just saying this over at 'other games' thread. The energy and emphasis teams put on our game must batter them. It has happened to Detroit, Ten, Jax, Pit, Mia and now Hou.
