Because no matter how much the NFL tries to create complete parity, things like: Incredible coach/QB combos Hot streaks Injuries Bad/great games Refs Momentum etc are all still real things. So there is no such thing as true 100% parity. The Cowboys have been fairly competitive for over a decade, even though we have lacked playoff success. At absolute worst, we have been a middle of the pack team.
