DL missed tackles aren’t really that big a deal IMO because if you’re getting your hand on the RB as a DL, even if he breaks free, you probably did a good job (beat your block and freed up LB) right? I guess there are situations where you’re tasked w/ setting edge and funneling runner inside, in which blowing assignment or tackle can lead to big play, but usually, even if you missed the tackle, it was at or around LOS and slowed RB enough for team to make a play. Things like pileups (where it usually goes to the most notable defender) and whether or not the statistician is actually accounting for a defenders angle at the time of the play make tackles and missed tackle stats vry subjective.
