With that said, bring him in he fits right in. Apple is only 24 and was actually pretty good for the Saints. Here is a good read on his season: 30 doesn't scare me off like it does some ppl. He has at least 2 good years left. The injuries he had don't scare me for a CB. If it was a knee, a hammy, ankle, lis franc foot, hip I'd be worried. Forearm injury lol. I just don't like Eli Apple at all. It'd take some strong persuasion for me beyond an article.
nlesthought
So obviously they aren't resigning Vonn Bell...

Brees has a noodle arm now, that team's chances were the last 2 years. They are cooked imo.

EaglesPeteC
If the Saints get Jenkins, the Eagles should get Vonn Bell. I am good with that

EagleBlueDon
I'm trying to stay patient and level-headed, but man Idk. Feels like we're watching the parade go by a little bit. The team's gotten worse thus far. I think that's pretty indisputable. I know its early in the off season, but a lot of the names I had in mind are gone. Like corner, I legitimately have no idea what they're gonna do there with what's left. I think they're gonna roll with Jalen and Rodney at safety, I don't think we sign anybody of note tbh. babyatemydingo
The thing about the Jenkins situation is that he essentially wanted back pay. He'd never get that anywhere else. He was more difficult to keep. There was not going to be a home town discount, in fact, quite the opposite. A bunch of these guys people are mentioning are way out there. Rhodes looks finished. Apple never started. Trufant is a one year fix. Harris is a one year 'broken.' Reid is a head case. Slay is not a FA, so you have to trade for him. It's a mess. At this point I'd rather the Eagles sign a guy to stabilize the defensive backfield and maybe not star. I feel like a #2 like Bashaud Breeland or Prince Amukamara could do that at a reasonable price. Yeah, I know, not exciting, but with no long term ramifications, either.
nlesthought
Darby may be the youngest, most experienced CB in the FA market. lol

I don’t disagree but unless they find a trade partner it’s kinda dumb to rid themselves now. Have a sit down, work it out. That money is unavoidable. His talents warrant it when he’s healthy.
