Packerraymond
What do you see in Jefferson that makes you want to target him in a class as deep as this DL class is? Never scouted him in Seattle. TE and ILB are obviously weak, and that's fine, they're the kind of positions that can be. I struggle taking an OT day 1 after signing Bulaga. Think Spriggs/Veldheer is cheaper insurance there rather than using a valuable pick in an "all in" season on depth. Like the WRs, Dennard would be a good get if we don't bring back Tramon. I think you're crazy if you thinking you're getting Johnson in the 3rd round, especially after that bowl game. I think Brooks might go sooner than that. Shackleford genuinely sucks. Kellen Mond sucks worse.
15412
2 thoughts struck me immediately. 1. You'll never get either Bulaga or Martinez on that contract. Martinez more likely than Bulaga, but neither. You would insult both agents and send them to free agency where they will get overpaid. 2. TE in Round 2 (assuming there may be a worthy candidate) while re-signing Veldheer. Take your OT in Round 5 or 6. That also is assuming we do indeed bring back Bulaga and Martinez. HighCalebR
Quinton definitely had a strong come on this year, statistically the impact doesn't show as much, played a ton of their EDGE LEO role though. Replacement more for Dean with some heavier projection to 3T. With McCoy coming in for Lancaster I'm not upset with it. That said Seattle has twice the CAP without much place to put it. I like Dennard, though his knees need a looking at, and Cincinnati has twice the CAP we do, going to be running a rookie QB, so little place to put it. I like Reagor, end of RD 1 is a tough spot for premium value from what I was looking at so I don't mind the WR. I think Niang benefits from a moving QB and quick passes. He plays out over his toes in pro and is a fork lift in the run. Lot of tools though. really quick for a big man, thick. Wouldn't be mad at it. Gonna take some time to develop though. Like AG just said IDK if Johnson lasts down to the bottom of the third but if he does that's looking like a no brainer! I can get on board with athletic ILBs easy right now. I actually would go more for Onyemata, I copied the post from notes and did not switch the DL addition. 3 hours ago, Packerraymond said: TE and ILB are obviously weak, and that's fine, they're the kind of positions that can be. I am looking at the OT as more of insurance for either RT or LT down the line. Bahk is up after next year, hard to say what his contract demands are going to be. 3 hours ago, Packerraymond said: Like the WRs, Dennard would be a good get if we don't bring back Tramon. ChaRisMa
Reagor is currently the only player I'm sure I'm okay with at 30 who I think will be available. Replaces MVS' opportunities deep and he'll put on some YAC. I don't have interest in Tyler Johnson if he isn't a plus athlete. We have enough average athletes. They don't win you ball games. Regarding Johnson, he never struck me as a superior athlete in games/stuff that I watched. I think a lot will come down to how he tests. If he is a 4.55 ish type player with COD numbers, it changes things for sure. He needs to get off press coverage better for sure. Adams was not a superior athlete in terms of speed. But he has pretty solid 10 yard split, 3-cone and foot work. I am not saying Johnson is Adams, but if a WR knows how to use what traits they have and can set up the CB, it can work. ChaRisMa
Adams is also the type of WR you should put dynamic alternatives around.

I feel that Johnson could play slot and fair OK on the perimeter. Offers some diversity for the WR group in being able to move those 3 (Adams, Reagor, Johnson) around the formation and not exclusively run them out of a set position. Joe
Not a fan of the FA DL signings, though they're realistic. McCoy is over-the-hill and doesn't fit this scheme; not sure Jefferson does either. Why do we hate Hargrave? I know some have suggested we go after Onyemata, but why not Hargrave? I see you're using the CBS rankings, which haven't been updated in about a month.

OneTwoSixFive
I like those late draft picks. I might choose TE Trautman in a future mock myself. A former QB, the 6'6" 250lb TE is from unheralded Dayton, but is interesting a lot of scouts. In this poor year for TEs he might be a late round gem, maybe not as big as Kittle was (he was an early 5th round pick !) but good enough for a pass catching role and big enough to learn to be a decent blocker.
