It is not legal for UPs or FedEx to deliver to po boxes. Go look up the mailing address of the irs payments due . I know where 1040-Vs have to be mailed. 5% of the population is required to file their taxes by mail. Another significant portion cannot e-file because of identity theft. The majority of audits are performed by mail, with mail requiring to be sent back to the IRS. They’re not killing off the ability to send mail to the IRS in two months. It’s literally impossible for the infrastructure and procedures within the organization to change that quickly. But good try. But sure, they’re just going to kill off the USPS and provide no provisions to fix the fact that would make paying or filing for literally millions of Americans impossible.
