I promise you that I am also super frustrated. It’s not that I trust them. It’s just I don’t see a way to get over this mess without lying politicians involved. You have to have the federal government more involved if we hope to ever contain this thing and get over it. Vaccine distribution being a prime example. This isn’t something that the normal citizen can do on their own unfortunately. My hope is that the politician’s own self interest will allow them to solve this problem since their livelihood depends on it as well. It’s either this or move to New Zealand. Nothing will change unless we have an actual dictator try to lock everyone down and force everyone to stay home. We shut down restaurants and bars? People will just go to other houses to eat and drink. No one will listen. That's been proven time and time and time and time and time again. The people who claim to be taking it most seriously have been finding any excuse to march in the ******* streets for months! No politician will change this. It's on us and while some of us are doing well, there's a ****load who aren't and that's more frustrating than anything. I have the luxury of living in a super diverse area. My redneck friends have never cared and my super liberal friends are having celebration parties and getting groups of 20 together for celebration dinners...... then telling people we need to take this seriously. It's really annoying. Science is the only thing that will get rid of this, period. I’m not ready to go full on authoritarian on everybody ie. what China did. No one has the stomach to deal with that level of lockdown. And I think that’s for the best. Half the country already hates each other, and I don’t see it ending well.
