The goal was steady production, enough to let Washington’s high-powered offense win games without having to score 40 points. Sunday night, the Redskins defense wasn’t just adequate. It was dominant. Washington smoked Oakland 27-10 on Sunday Night Football, denying the Raiders all 11 of their third-down conversions, and holding them to just three points even when they were gifted the ball on the Redskins 12-yard line.
