Time to put the NFL on notice.

Redskins win 27-10.

Ball control. Mistake free football. It would be nice if a home game was actually, a home game. (Probably worst homd field "advantage" in NFL)

LANDOVER, Md. - The eye rolling started as soon as Greg Manusky was hired as the Washington Redskins defensive coordinator in January.

Manusky was an in-house promotion, asked to the dance floor after Jay Gruden got a cold shoulder from the more attractive candidates.

His first move was to bring in Jim Tomsula, who had been paid $10.5 million the year before by the San Francisco 49ers to not coach their football team.

The goal wasn’t a Pro Bowl-caliber unit. The goal was steady production, enough to let Washington’s high-powered offense win games without having to score 40 points.

Sunday night, the Redskins defense wasn’t just adequate. It was dominant.

Washington smoked Oakland 27-10 on Sunday Night Football, denying the Raiders all 11 of their third-down conversions, and holding them to just three points even when they were gifted the ball on the Redskins 12-yard line.
