not that i hate adding a defenseman (especially that can work a PP if we dump ghost) but is this based on anything or just a guess?

Bit of both?

We have a radio guy who is employed by the Oilers ownership. He thinks he's some sort of da vinci code insider. He'll normally drop hints about our team in weird ways. When speaking about Barrie he said right before the playoffs "He's probably not coming back. Teams in the Eastern conference have interest in him and for his situation I think he's looking for some brotherly love." Or something like that. Again it could be nothing, but the guy talks with Friedman and such regularly and is decently plugged in.

Don't know much about this draft but I love what i've seen from Lysell, seems like an instant fan favorite.

Just recently started taking a deep dive into hockey more so and Id be happy If the Kraken Took Beniers with the 2nd pick, Seems like Centers are hard to come by (Just ask my MN Wild team) were desperate for some quality Center play and It seems like Beniers has all the tools to be a good player.

Thanks for the mock.

If Guenther makes it to Detroit I would be surprised.

I think almost every mock I’ve seen has Ottawa selecting McTavish. It would be a good choice. I have a suspicion that Dorian might surprise some people this year with his moves on draft day.

The young core played some good hockey this year. Melnyk is talking a new arena in Kanata. Lofty goals but people in seats is important and the Senators, I believe have the largest walk up crowd in the league.

Be it the draft or free agency I suspect them to do something to generate interest and also quicken the healing of old wounds amongst the fans.

I feel like RNH will be past our budget

Maybe, maybe not. We have no big contracts to hand out this year and PK comes off the books before we have to pay Jack/Bratt/Zacha. So we'll see. Have no idea what to expect but Fitzy wants a top 6 winger that fits our range and RNH is only 28. Saad is turning 29 but we may be able to pull him on a shorter term deal so we'll see.

Technically, we have $37.6 Million in cap space lol
