There’s only 2 things I can 100% promise you Berry will do:

1. Draft a CB

2. Draft a offensive linemen

3. RB in the 6th round that leaves everyone scratching their heads as to why

My draft plans this year are the same as years past, just on a different side of the ball.

Spend every single draft pick you have on the defensive front 7. Odds say you will find a starter and rotational player once everything shakes out if you do that.

Jordan Battle is a good player. I’m open to him as a 3rd-4th option if he’s there, as I’m not convinced Delfit is here long-term. I think he’s also versatile.

I’m more interested in shoring up the defensive line, but I’m not really that sure we are going to make a huge mark with where our first pick is coming in R3, so draft good players that will help you in some way.

TLDR best available corner.

I would personally have my realistic 3rd round big board like this:

1. BJ Ojulari (25% chance to be available)
2. Owen Pappoe (70% chance to be available)
3. Demarvion Overshown (70% chance to be available)
4. Keeanu Benton (40% chance to be available)
5. Jack Campbell (20% chance to be available)

I think CB is so loaded that we could wait til R5 and still get a stud muffin.

Really like him. Has a ton of potential as a bull rushing wide 9.

One of my favorite players in the class. Sticky superstud cover man.

Still my top LB. Campbell is cleaner, but Sewell plays nasty.

I like Kuntz. Hehe. That said, I wouldn’t touch a TE til late.

See above. I like LaPorta less than Kuntz.

See above. I like Musgrave the same I like LaPorta.

Would be thrilled. Dude has elite homerun speed & is a perfect scheme fit.

Spears, RB Tulane

Another great player that would complement Chubb perfectly.

Williams, CB Syracuse

Haven’t gotten into his tape yet.

He is gonna be very good. Probably not a scheme fit for us though.

Not as high on Wypler as Stromberg, but he’s also very good. More of a scheme fit too.

I don’t wanna take a C though. We have two good ones that are both young. This C class is so loaded that the UDFA pool will land us someone talented if we elect to add more C/G depth.

Looked at the post June cuts for 2024. Don’t be surprised if we draft a guard and WR. I love Andrew Vorhees- Dude had a torn ACL but still did bench press at the combine.

Cooper & Bitonio are both goners next year. 100%.

I doubt we take a WR this year. For one, this class is awful. Secondly, we don’t have space on the roster at WR to make this happen realistically. We would have to stash & pray. Lastly, those are 2024 problems. We still have some big needs this year. The G and WR classes are brutal. Doubt they are ever gonna be BPA or a position of most need in 2023.

I’m going to disagree with fans until the end of time on this topic: But you will not win trying to build a “well rounded” roster. It’s physically not possible.

Determine your identity and reinforce it. Kansas City knows their identity. Same deal with Buffalo and Cincinnati.
