rackcs
Singapore Sentinels Motivation - We take our road trip to the South Pole this week.Trying again to take advantage of all the injuries this season to other teams. Offensive Strategy Formations: Bunch formation trips / 2TE/ 2 RB Scheme: Pass (60%) vs Run (40%) Rushing Position Depth: James Conner / Kareem Hunt / Chris Carson / CEH Conner gets the start this week (60%). Hunt and Carson are threats both in the run game and passing game out of the backfield or in the slot. They will get about 15-20% of the carries each with CEH getting rest this week from single back work. Antarctica has a strong interior DL so we will run to the outside and set up the pass for Brady with some play action. Laviska Shenault Jr. will get a couple of jet sweeps and a wildcat play or two to surprise the Beasts. When not using bunch formations we will run 2 RB in the backfield to freeze the LBs, with CEH paired with either Hunt or Carson. The versatility of our offensive weapons allows them to line up in multiple spots and give Brady a matchup to abuse in Jeff Okudah. Passing Using bunch formation trips this week again, mainly to get the Beasts LBs off the field and bring in less experienced DBs. Brady will be employing a quick passing game that includes our backs on swing and flat routes. While our receiving core of Keenan Allen/WR, Laviska Shenault Jr./WR, Darnell Mooney/Slot and Darren Waller/TE flood the field with a variety of routes (slants, crossing, dig and fly primarily). The Bunch formation will consist of 2 WR and Waller on one side alternating any 3 of our WR who can play all the WR spots. If Antarctica is in man coverage this should confuse them enough to get a WR open for Brady. Otherwise, whatever spot is open in the zone will be targeted. In 2 TE formations the two Darrens will look to open things up in the seam. Fells is an excellent blocker and red zone target to pair with Waller’s field stretching ability. Waller is picking up where he left off last season and is a serious weapon in Brady’s arsenal. Defensive Strategy Formation: 4-2-5 Defense | 3-3-5 / 3-2-6 Our main defensive formation will consist of the 4-2-5 (Nickel). In my opinion, this formation is putting our best 11 on the field thus giving our defense the best chance to dismantle their offensive game plan. Rush Defense Losing Barkley for the year hurts and with Cam Akers out this week as well, Antarctica will have the carcass of Todd Gurley as their lead back. Lamar Jackson is also a threat to run and we expect him to do so this week with RPO’s etc. Kevin Pierre-Louis will spy on Jackson this week to limit his yards to something manageable. Deion Jones will focus on keeping Gurley corralled. Pass Rush We will look to collapse the pocket and not give Antarctica time to throw. Aaron Donald is known to be a beast and game wrecker all on his own. Paired this week with the “Greek Freak” Ioannidis, a player that gets his own fair share of pressure, should give the Beasts OL a spot of trouble. They will rotate with Nichols and Onyemata to keep things fresh. Getting Aaron Donald involved in stunt blitzes and just letting him do what he does best in the 3 tech. We really will focus on the ghost of DJ Fluker (24 total snaps this season, 1 sack allowed) to put pressure on Jackson. Chandler Jones and Robert Quinn crash the edges and we will be limiting blitz packages this week to force Jackson to throw into max coverage. So we’ll look to exploit things by keeping the pressure on for the bulk of the game with just the base four pass rushers. The depth off the bench in Smith and Anderson will make sure that Jackson has no time and nowhere to run all day. Pass Defense - Scheme: Cover 2 Man We respect Antarctica's depleted running game but we know that the real strength of this team lies within their quality at receiver. Diggs is the clear WR1 and will draw coverage from Kyle Fuller. Chris Godwin is back this week but may not be at 100% and Rookie Ceedee Lamb is trending upward. Jimmy Graham was on our team last season and we are intimately familiar with how to cover him. Desmond King will keep him locked down this week. We are confident that our secondary is up to the task of preventing this passing game from developing this week. John Johnson has deep overage as the single high safety and is the last line of defense. Coverage Assignments: · Stefon Diggs / Kyle Fuller - CB · Chris Godwin / Quinton Dunbar - CB · Ceedee Lamb / Jonathan Jones - Slot CB · Jimmy Graham / Desmond King II - SS Antarctica Katabatic Beasts Motivation: We were the walking wounded going into last week and it only got worse with the loss of Saqoun Barkley, Cam Akers, and C.J. Uzomah. That said we look to move forward and use our new additions and revamped lineup to break back above .500. Personnel Changes: we plug our holes from last week with the addition of starters Dakota Dozier at G and Jimmy Graham at TE. We are also promoting Jaleel Johnson to starting DT after 2 productive weeks. We are also promoting Todd Gurley to RB1 and Alexander Mattison to RB2. And now to break the spirits of Singapore, we get Chris Godwin back from concussion protocol. Offensive Base Formation: We love the shotgun pistol formation, we will be using a different look this week, Pistol Strong. 1 WR split to the strong and weak sides with 1 TE and a second TE/FB in the pistol. This formation gives plenty of opportunity and space and blocking for Gurley and LJ to run and Godwin and Diggs to get open for big plays. To take full advantage of the pistol formation, we will be rotating the WR3/WR4/TE2 in and out to provide different looks within the Pistol to keep Singapore off guard. Some of these formations will be Pistol Heavy, Pistol Spread, etc. Example for base formation: Tempo: This week we will be running a normal tempo offense. We got weapons everywhere and blockers to help the run and pass. Playcalling Distribution: 40% run 30% pass 10% playaction pass 10% option run 10% RPO Running: This week we feel like this a more balanced approach in the first and second quarters will be optimal, as the game progresses we will switch to more pass heavy or run heavy depending on what is working or the game situation. We expect to be in our base formation 40% of the time and sprinkle in other various formations throughout the game. Being in the pistol, our runs will be spread out to both sides of the ball, keeping the Singapore's defense off balance. Our runs will be exotic with some options and varying who gets the ball between the RB and QB. On inside plays we plan on motioning our WR3/RB2/TE down inside and allow him to become a defacto fullback and clean up anyone left in the holes allowing Gurley to burst through with vengeance on his mind. We have large and angry men up front ready to open the holes for our horses to stroll on through to the endzone. We will be using the inside run just enough to keep the D off balance, allowing the option and outside runs to break off big plays. That brings us to the large portion of our run play calling. We will be running a good bit of option and read option plays, as well as allowing LJ to check into and out of them. If the setup is there LJ will be relied upon to use his legs and eyes to attack the opponents DE's and exploit them to the fullest. Passing: Having one of the best QB's in the game to throw to Godwin/Diggs/Lamb is going to beat a lot of people or open things up even more for Gurley and LJ. Godwin pairs nicely with Diggs this week in his return. We will use a bunch of crossing routes and slants early on in the game which we will shift to double moves on the outside later on and look to catch Singapore's DB's cheating. This is the bread and butter type of routes that Godwin and Lamb are great at running. Diggs has been huge at catching the deep ball and we expect a couple more of them this week. If Singapore wants to double him it just leaves Godwin/Lamb/TE open to crush their spirits. Being extremely balanced and with weapons galore, we will keep their D guessing so much that they will be calling mercy. If they try and load the box on early downs we will shift more to passing plays and playaction passes. We also are focusing on getting Gurley involved in the passing game early and often this week. Getting him screens and check downs and short routes will be the key to keeping the chains moving. Playaction and RPO's: we will be using these to catch Singapore crowding the box and cheating up to help stop Gurley/LJ. Godwin/Diggs/Lamb are ready to burn Singapore when they load up and jump in to stop Gurley and LJ. We will also use our slot receiver to sprinkle in the RPO's as the linebackers start to cheat more and more to help try and stop the run game. Defense Base Formation: 4-3 defense, switching to Dime and Nickel in passing downs and dependent upon ingame situations. We will also use more 4-4 sets on running downs and short yardage plays. Formation usage: 4-3: 35% Nickel: 35% Dime: 15% 4-4: 15% Defensive Base coverages: Man: 50% Cover 3 - 25% Quarters -20% Tampa 2 - 5% Playstyle: This week we will be looking for force Singapore to abandon the run and throw the ball. Tom Brady is not what he used to be (I should know as a Bucs fan). We will do this by using lots of blitzs, run blitzs and exotic blitzs on early downs. Clark, JPP and the LB's will look to have a field day with getting to the Brady. We will look to switch our coverage up a lot and try and fool them pre-snap and confuse them enough to allow our all-pro edge rusher or blitzing LB to get pressure on him and get the sack. Run defense. We will be sticking to our 4-3 D and using our 4-4 run stopping D to stuff them at the line with our strongest asset taking over the game. Run blitzes early and often will help to combat anything they may get from the run. Passing Defense: we will be upping our man d even more this week to account for heavy blitzing but still switching up coverages often. Brady has struggled this season against pressure and has many mistakes by errant throws. We will look to get him to repeat that again this week. If we pressure Brady the turnovers will come and hitting him will only exacerbate the mistakes.

Scoundrel
I think Antarctica can do some things successfully against Singapore but their injuries and some of the lack of identity in the lack of some commitment to a focus really makes me feel they would be out coached. No need to bring over loaded pressure and force Lamar to beat you with his arm.

Jlash
I think Antartica is really smart to load up and make Brady beat them, as weird as that is to say. I even like throwing some 4-4 formations in there to jam the middle of the field up. That being said, lots of SirA's passing concepts will be easier for Brady to pick apart with the Twins going man heavy in coverage. That combined with the Sing Sing ability to get after Jackson without having to send anyone extra, and I think they win. Close game, good matchup from both sides, but a Sing Sing win. Blue
Jackson is really not working with a very good line here, and it's a big downgrade at running back for them. I don't think Brady has played super well this season so far, and his weapons here are definitely worse than his IRL ones, but I trust the Singapore defense to harass Jackson more and pull out the win. PR
This one in my opinion was a toss up. Went Antarctica just because Sings secondary took a hit the week Godwin returned.
pheltzbahr
Close game, but i think Singapore outplanned the Beasts in this one. The biggest difference maker for me is the Sentinels D Line overpowering Antarctica's O Line. Think this will limit the Beasts ability to move the ball on the ground, which is a necesity for Lamar to be successful in my mind. Ragnarok
I think the mix of Lamar having a very bad week coupled with ANT's very poor OL facing a very good DL gives Sing the win.
rackcs
Agree with many of the comments here about Singapore planning well to beat Lamar when he's already lacking a lot of help. That Singapore DL will absolutely wreak havoc.
