When the old gypsy woman whispered into Jason's ear, "your career will blow up", he didn't realize that it was a curse.
SkippyX
Take a look at Tom Brady's revenge season of 2016 He missed 4 games after being accused of heresy and witchcraft. He had 28 TDs and 2 picks for a 112.2 rating and 3554 yards on 432 passes. Foles 2013 had an even higher passer rating than revenge Brady (not talking about the playoffs and the Super Bowl of course) He had 27 TDs and 2 picks for a 119.2 rating and 2891 yards on 317 passes and 52 runs (221 yards and 3 more TDs) His #1 WR had a career year by 163 yards (DeSean Jackson) His #2 WR had a career year by 258 yards and 5 TDs (rookie Riley Cooper) Cooper was more like an NFL #4 or #5 (his numbers without Foles prove this) His #3 WR was Jason Avant (460 1.5 TD guy his first 7 years) He had a nice TE combo of Celek and rookie Ertz (not yet stud Ertz of 2016-19) His stud RB set his high mark for yards from scrimmage by 474 yards (Shady McCoy) Foles made everyone on this team better The Chip Kelly offense was an abysmal failure in the NFL It was 15-4 with Foles and 13-31 without him. This includes 1-4 in 2013 without Foles (Foles was 8-2 as a starter and won another game in long relief) Foles had a 100+ rating in the playoffs that year. He walked off the field with the lead. Riley Cooper dropped a ball in his hands that should have gone for 50+ yards and a likely TD Foles 2013 was spectacular. You saw that again in 2016-2018 when he played. Foles lost 2 of the 11 regular season games he was called on to play that year. He was concussed in the first loss. He went 30-48 for 428 yards 3 TDs and a pick while also running 5 times for 48 yards and put up 30 points in the other loss. The Vikings scored 48 on the Eagles that day

It's listed as the single highest baseline AV for any player in a single season ever.
TecmoSuperJoe
Remember Rudi Johnson? Three straight years of at least 1300 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Then flopped off the map. Also Michael Turner had some ridiculous rushing seasons, but eventually broke down. Neither were a factor in the passing game though. In the 80's, Curt Warner and William Andrews also put up some HOF worthy numbers, but injuries caught up with them. TecmoSuperJoe
Brian Sipe and Joe Theismann were both MVP of the league in 1980/1983. Lynn Dickey, Jim Everett, and Steve Bartkowski put up some good numbers for a year or two. In 1999, Steve Beuerlein had a monster year, and actually lead the league in passing, not Warner. Trent Green and Rich Gannon were two players that hit their stride in their early to mid 30's. They each had four straight seasons were they were putting up consistent HOF like numbers for their era. But then of course injuries brought the hammer down on them immediately.
Apparition
People tend to forget how impressive Jeff Garcia's first two seasons as a starter were. In '00 and '01 he threw for a total of 7916 yards and 63 TDs against 22 picks. He also rushed for almost 700 yards and 9 TDs. If it hadn't been for Warner's monster season, he'd have been the league MVP in 2001.
Dub_City30
How has no one mentioned Larry Johnson yet. He was amazing in 2005-2006 but man did KC wear him down he carried the ball 752 times in those two seasons. He alone carried the ball 416 times in 05 what a away to burn out your RB. Over 3,200 rushing yards and 37 TDs in just two seasons but then after that he completely fell of the map. I'm not sure he'd make 2001 league MVP even without Warner's presence. I'd guess Gannon would for the Raiders or Favre for the Packers. Sucks that he faded out, but even if the 49ers weren't a dumpster fire at that time, or played for a better team I'm not sure he could ever elevate his game to All Pro status. That reminds me of Terry Allen. 21 TDs for the Redskins in 1996 to go along with 1300+ rushing yards. Zero damage in the pass game though.
