Big T
We all assume that Lawrence would request a trade should the Jets land the #1 pick in the draft, or would he just play out his final year of college ball? Heck it seems all of sports was floating the idea to the extent that they even asked Trevor if he had any trepidations about playing in N.Y.C. As unlikely a scenario as stated in the title, I suppose all things are possible. If he were to force a trade to N.Y. considering the Jets have the second pick, what would be the compensation of such an unlikely happening? Bobby816
No. Same way he was never going to force a trade if we were drafting 1st. He will be the JAGS QB

KingOfNewYork
Yes he “could” because he has the ability to. But he won’t, he was never going to force himself to any team. Players don’t do that.

No franchise is dumb enough to pass on TLaw with Fields floundering and Wilson with too small a sample.

While I know it’s a long shot - still the Jags. The rockets and blazers passed on Jordan back in ‘84 haha

Darnold on his best day will never be a top Franchise QB. We all gave Darnold a pass for his first two years in the league, but this year he has shown nothing. We better get right in the 2021 draft. Everyone got way too attached to Lawrence way too early. The same thing happen to Joe Namath in his last college game in the Orange bowl and we all know how that work out for us a Super Bowl. I can only answer part of your question For the jets to move up one spot. They will have to give up their 2nd overall pick and most likely 29th pick and most likely an early 2nd round to move up only one spot. Jaguars have no incentive to do this... as they need a franchise quarterback. .... also giving up 3 picks to even pick a talent like Lawrence is still risky. The jets are team with numerous needs.....There is no value for the jets in trading up right now.. If anything I would be all for the Jets trading down to grab another 2nd round pick,
