This isn't so much a rule, as instruction on etiquette. We are all busy, with fantasy football only being a tiny portion of our lives. You do not need to be here during the offseason proposing and/or accepting trade offers. That is not the expectation. If you want to just show up right before the draft starts, as long as you sign up, assign your keepers, are present for the draft, and manage your team, there will be no issues. But out of respect for other people's time, I do request that you address trade offers in your inbox. Meaning, if someone sends you a crap trade, tell the person that you aren't interest. Don't review the trade, and then have it hang out in your inbox until the end of time. This is especially true regarding trade negotiations. If you are in the middle of trade negotiations, don't disappear and stop responding to messages that you have reviewed. It puts the other person in limbo and wastes their time checking for a reply. If things fall through or you don't want to proceed, be polite and inform the other manager. This doesn't mean that you have to regularly check your inbox. But if you frequent this site, which most of us do, then do your part to be an active team manager and address messages that you receive.
