And anyone who watched the Browns play this year, asked the same question. Honestly, it looked like they were trotting out the punt return team. Williams deflects the question, which is clearly a criticism of his defense, and puts it on the player. gopherwrestler Posted March 1, 2018 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Yeah, Peppers isn’t going to do nearly anything he is capable of if they are going to be a single high safety. I would never want to switch him to a LB, but he is best when he can be put up around the line. He is basically the best version of a Andrew Sendejo. Lays lumber, can blitz, and can cover. I don’t think they have to worry about that until June 1. Also the trade won’t matter for a while. Except that they're already $15M over the cap. If they do that, they're probably going to have to either renegotiate or cut Brandon Graham.
