Well he must use every inch of them cause the ball just dies in his hands.

Having strong and active hands, which Pickens seems to have, would seem to be a bigger advantage than having big hands. Christian Watson, who had a lot of drops, has huge hands.

So...probably George and George for GB in the 1st?

A name Kruse is missing here is Tulsa OL Tyler Smith.  He's 21, and his RAS is 8.77 but all of his numbers are good *except* for the height.  If there's a type the Packers will have a higher board on than other teams it's "position ambiguous offensive linemen with the athleticism to play outside, but who might be a little shorter than you'd want."  Smith is 3/8" taller than Bakhtiari.

But then again, Bakhtiari was drafted in the 4th round. Smith's RAS numbers are fairly comparable to Elgton Jenkins, who was the 44th player chosen. I think Jenkins was the more polished player entering the draft though.

I was excited to watch Tyler Smith after reading about his potential versatility and measurables. Then, I watched him against Oklahoma State, Ohio State, and Houston. The tape didn't match the hype of a potential 1st round pick. The Oklahoma State tape especially. I'd be okay with him with one of our 2nd round picks.

Zach Kruse -   Potential first-round picks that are 21 or younger with a RAS of 9.0 or higher:

– Aidan Hutchinson
– Kyle Hamilton
– Derek Stingley
– Kayvon Thibodeaux
– Travon Walker
– Trent McDuffie
– George Karlaftis
– David Obajo
– George Pickens
– Quay Walker

Daxton Hill (21, 9.03) should also be on the list.

Not a whole lot, but I'm not really seeing much there.  Probably a solid slot WR in the NFL, but lacks any real upside.

Greg Cosell loves him. Says he has outstanding body control. While he concedes he played mainly slot in college he thinks he has the skillset to play outside in the pros.

Tyler Brooke -   Packers Twitter went from going all in on Chris Olave to all in on George Pickens in less than a week. April is a chaotic time for Draft SZN.

  • Jennifer Kirton -  Forgot the 36 hours of Christian Watson in between.

Let me guess.....you waited on Pickens.....thinking he'd make it to 28.....and....somebody traded into 27 and scooped him up :(
