drfrey13
Rams just took the 3rd RB we probably should have taken. Williams is similar to Richard. I like this pick more than White for next year.

Darbsk
I like that we're moving around, trading up and down and trying to maximise value. One thing Gruddock was not very apt doing.

Just parroting how ridiculous it sounds to say not to draft for need when defending a pick that did exactly that just because you personally like the pick. 1 RB under contract, after all. Stock up. Trade back for 3 7ths and take 4 RBs. Forget the other positions. We have guys under contract at those. RB isn’t an immediate need. He’ll likely start the year as RB4, but why not use a day 3 pick on a guy with upside who eventually can take over as a top 2 RB on the depth chart. Draft and develop.
Humble_Beast
this guy or Christopher Allen would be amazing with the next pick https://www.nfl.com/prospects/dominique-robinson/3200524f-4240-4567-d940-a5c388777ffe

Geezy
Have we made any picks at their original position? I love that we’re moving around and creating value. Can’t wait for next year when we have a full cupboard. Really like what we’re doing this off-season.

Right, so don't draft for need, unless it's an immediate need, but immediate need is subjective, but don't reach, unless it's for a year or two down the road, but only if you don't have guys under contract, but make sure they can be a draft and develop type.. When your point has that many qualifiers attached to it as exceptions, your point is flawed. Just say you like the pick and move on. Trying to justify it as not a need but still a need but only in this regard or that regard and only when.... Is just weird. It's the same argument people made for crap picks like Bowden and Muse. We had other positions to address depth at and guys more likely to make an impact than White at that spot. Sometimes, it's better to just blindly like a pick and admit it than trying to use mental gymnastics with more juice than the Russian national team to justify why the pick was made.
