I have to wonder if the emergence of Darnell Mooney last year has had anything to do with Pace's unwillingness to offer ARob a market level deal.

Knowing Pace...it might.

But it shouldn't. Hopefully, it's just posturing. See if he can get ARob to take $18-$19 mil instead of $20 (or 20+).

Well it's a dead issue now at least until next year.   ARob and Pace are stuck with his tag now and IMHO it's hurting the Bears cap far more than it's hurting ARob.  I'd say about 8 to 10 millions times more.

Aw man.  Just went to get training camp tickets and you can’t get them.

Before last year it’s always been so easy to get to tickets.  Only pain in the butt was camp was in Egypt and you had to drive forever.

Now it’s close and convenient and you can’t even go.  Lame.

I always thought Big Cat retired too early. (I don't think I was forgetting any injuries, or anything...)

I forget what the story was but the bears released him.

I should get a press pass to training camp for my posts on this forum.

Better than 90% of blog and news articles.

At least my mom thinks so.

I would suggest that you have your mother write a "sternly worded letter" to GMcC telling him so.  🤣

  • 1 month later...

I think if Bears had done every thing right (according to me) and focused like a laser beam on Fields development (meaning giving him number 1 reps from jump) I think they still lose to Rams and Browns in first three games.

RIght now they better right the ship ASAP or those are going to be embarrassing blow outs.   Rams are good and Browns are really good.

They may surprise in first game only because first games and old bowl games are 1 offs due to fact that you prepare for a month plus for one team.

Every other game you basically make your game plan on Mon. Or Tue. Of game week.   You get roughly 24 hours to come up with a game plan and 3 days of practice to implement it.

Its why college teams usually schedule really easy games for game 1.

Or in the case of Alabama you never play another team with a winning record until you're forced to thereby assuring yourself of a BCS Bowl bid every year.  I'm often surprised his first few games aren't against Texas 4a and 5a HS teams and Georgia State Teachers College.
