Can we all just agree that the past 24 hours has been the greatest cycle in the history of the internet?

Al Gore should be proud of his invention.

Tennessee has so screwed themselves that we haven't even been able to laugh at LSU.

In the span of a calendar year, LSU went from going all in for Jimbo Fisher to having to hire Captain Gumbo and then losing out on Jimbo to frickin AGGIE.

If Tennessee makes him HC, they will be in last place for the next decade. He showed at Michigan, that he cannot recruit and was a mediocre HC as well.

Tennessee has to hire a big name HC from another college, if it ever wants to get back as a competitive team in the SEC.

Hoke can recruit for sure. Terrible head coach, and that impacts his recruiting, but he can absolutely recruit.

That's a horrible precedent Currie has set.

Currie is clearly over his head, but the real problem in Knoxville is Jim Haslam. As long as he has all the influence, that program is going to be crap. Clay Travis needs to hurry up and become a billionaire so he can have control over the program.

Scott Frost to Nebraska is looking to be on track. Our AD has made back-up plans, even still. According to a BTN reporter and a Nebraska radio host, Moos (the AD) has a tentative agreement with Justin Fuente.

Why would Fuente ever leave VT for Nebraska?

I'm aware that the commonly held opinion is Fuente won't leave Va Tech for most jobs, especially not an elite one. I'm just relaying information, information that is coming from fairly credible sources.

If I was to muster up a reason as to why Fuente would want the job, it would be his background. He was born and raised in Oklahoma; he lived through the Oklahoma-Nebraska rivalry, and he knew and took note of Nebraska when they were good. There's also the fact that Nebraska's facilities and fan support are as good as anyone's in the nation, and also have very deep pockets. They aren't stationed in a recruit-rich nation which is why many/most good coaches will choose not to go there if given the opportunity, but again Fuente has reportedly given Nebraska a tentative yes so he has his reasons.

Nebraska pours more money into the program than Virginia Tech, pretty healthy amount more. We would pay him more too. We're also a top Adidas program with top of the line facilities. Plenty of reasons

Not saying we're a better job. But there are certain reasons why it could be seen as better.
