Berlin Gameplan:

Offense
We are going to use our 2-TE set and 3-WR sets equally this week.  Louisiana has some good players on their DL, but we think we can win against their back 7 with regularity.  In both sets, Henry will line up next to Moton to help him before going out on a route.

In our two TE set, we are going to run off tackle and attack their LBs in the passing game.  They will probably be forced to put a safety in the box and we will then take our deep shots.

In our 3 WR set, we are going to let our WRs run crazy.  We don’t think the CBs can stop Tyreek and co. whatsoever.  We will also run a decent amount from this set as it will force them to lighten the box.

Defense
No Ertz helps as Ebron is awful.

We are going to use mostly cover-2 this week as the WRs for Louisiana are better as possession guys and Brady loves to get the ball out quickly.  We are going to play our back seven up a bit to limit the quick game.  We want to force Brady to hold the ball so our pass rush can get home.  This will also help against Zeke as everyone will be closer to the LOS.  Our LBs will be keyed in on Zeke all game.  This gameplan is going to make us more susceptible to the deep pass, but we don’t think Louisiana has the personnel to make us regret that considering how good our safeties are.

Lousiana Jazz Gameplan:

Offense:

This week our aim is going to be getting the outside passing game going. While starting in our 3 wide set, we’ll see plenty of 4 wide sets to ensure that an already thin Berlin secondary is stretched even more. Darby at best will be on limited snaps, so a safety & Cre’von Leblanc covering any of our WRs is going to be a pretty bad mismatch and one Brady will take advantage of often. While Ertz will be in line for his usually good day at TE, we feel the running backs also provide an opportunity for us in the passing game as we foresee Berin being fixed with trying to generate as much pressure as possible on Brady and thus the running backs will be utilised as both a check-down option, and also a YAC option as our receivers will need help over the top to be covered.

Once we establish the outside passing game early, the run game will then become the focus. Our goal will be to tire Houston and Lawrence as much as possible with a heavy dosage of runs towards them and away from Brandon Williams. Heavy sets will feature Bobby Massie as a 6th OL and Dion Sims as our TE/H-back to ensure that we’re able to get some strong push against the strong Berlin front. Elliott will carry the ball ideally about 20 times, with Powell getting around 5-10 as a change of pace and White a few as well as being involved in the short passing game. Part of our offensive strategy with running the ball and controlling it is if we’re able to maintain TOP, it’ll add to the sense of urgency for Berlin’s offense and with a QB like Jameis who’s turnover prone, this should give us even more opportunities to get turnovers if Berlin feels antsy and the need to make plays with the limited time they have.

Defense:

Our goal is going to be try and get as much push as possible up front and blitz using our LBs and safeties somewhat frequently to take advantage of an offensive line starting Taylor Moton and missing it’s two best players. We feel as though this dinged up Berlin offensive line is a weak point for us to attack and doing so will give us a good opportunity to force Winston into some errant throws, particularly as we sit with our safeties helping out in coverage.

In response to Berlin’s 2 TE sets, we’ve opted to go with 3 safeties and two CBs. Chris Harris will be tasked with Tyreek Hill, while DRC will take DJax. Ryan acting as our 3rd CB will take Berlin’s 3rd WR and House their 4th. We respect the speed that both Hill and DJax have so Bethea will predominantly act as our deep safety, although Weddle will help out in cover 2 set-ups as necessary. Jones for the most part will play closer to the LOS and cover a TE or RB as necessary, along with Timmons & Collins who will play similar roles as well.
On more obvious run downs, we’ll sacrifice one of Weddle or Bethea for Chris Jones who will come in and line up on the interior and Sheard will get a few snaps for Wake on these downs too. Again, it’s not a matter of being particularly creative as we feel we’re in a position where if we can build pressure on Winston and stick to our coverage assignments against a solid, but unremarkable skill position group, we should be able to keep the game in a very manageable position for the offense.
n the board, let alone one our offense can’t chase down.

This may be harsh, but Winston reinjured himself and there's no backup QB listed. I always consider re-injuries in BDL (I did for Terron Armstead in the LB/Rome game for instance). Therefore it's an automatic win for the Jazz. Sorry Rags
